We had the good fortune of connecting with Staci Sherri and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Staci, how does your business help the community?

Tribal Travel Club (TTC) exists to bridge communities through curated travel experiences to various countries in Africa.

Tribal Travel Club exposes travelers to the rich history, culture, art, fashion, music and food through a travel experience that opens up doors to engage with a diversity of lifestyles. We want you to leave more connected to the motherland and yourself by expanding world views and individual perspectives within a safe community.

Let Tribal Travel Club help you connect the dots. Africa is no longer an illusion, it’s a reality. This is the time to own and change your narrative, see what the continent has to offer one country at a time. Make this your year, travel with the tribe to the homeland. We are going to Ghana on December 26, 222 – January 3rd, 2023. If you would like to secure your trip it’s not too late.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?

Tribal Travel Club is a journey toward heritage and people. Everyone who experiences Tribal Travel Club leaves feeling more unified than they came because we work to make energy that leads to acceptance of self and each other. We want everyone who experiences Tribal Travel Club to come away from their experiences with connection to the land, confidence in belonging, a vibrant network and exposure to a different way of life. We believe this is widely beneficial and healing. We believe that this journey begins with access, and we can provide the door.

To get where I am today, personally and professionally. I had to take inventory of my life and through that journey I had an inner yearning to understand my roots. Living in America being labeled as African American, without any connection to Africa had kept me in an in-between place. I was craving information that was not taught in school and about my ancestry that has been screwed over time. This journey has been liberating, eye opening and awakening. I’ve experienced tears of joy, sorrow, anger and a powerful pride and strength that’s indescribable. Seeing billboards upon my arrival of advertisements and representation of melanin rich skin was so foreign to me. I remember pointing in amazement at every turn, wow, look, how gorgeous. It was black magic, people of color at home everywhere you go. The bright smiles, hospitality, love and genuine spirits filled my soul. I was forever changed. In America we’re told you’re free but in Africa is where I experienced true freedom.

On my path, I met my tribe, found a sense of belonging and now want to offer that experience to others who are looking. I’ve learned to own my heritage. This is the time to control your narrative.

Tribal Travel Club exists to bridge communities through curated travel experiences to various countries in Africa-within a safe community. Welcome home, Tribal Travel Club, where you belong.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
First thing first, if you’re visiting the homeland for the first time or returning. Tribal Travel Club (TTC) will be the best concierge service for your experience. You need access and the TTC can provide the door.

To have a well rounded experience it starts with community, if you’re with the right tribe that will play a major role in your overall experience.

If you are visiting Accra, Ghana for the first time. Be sure to check-out the Black Star Square as known as independence square.

Cape Coast Castle was constructed in 1665. Hear the story of the Trans-Atlantic Slave and the sacred Door Of No Return among others.

Attend one of Ghana’s largest festivals, Afrochella. It’s a festival designed to highlight talent in Africa by introducing interactive art and music.

Grab a bite to eat at Buka Restaurant in Osu, it’s African cuisine in the heart of Accra.
There’s a drink for everyone at Bloom bar and the vibe is right.

Cultural Immersion is key, I love to volunteer for Mi Daakye, it means “my future” in the native twi language. It’s a charitable initiative created to eliminate the barriers that affect the education of the underserved children. During my last visit I helped pass-out over 300 new sneakers and donated 500 pounds of PPE supplies. It was life changing.

Shop authentic craftsmanship and authentic Ghanaian treasures. Visit Makola market, hustle and bustle aren’t enough words to describe the scene at Makola. It’s massive, fast-paced, crowded and lively. The real excitement here is the culture of friendly haggling and bargaining.

Nightlife check out Twist Night Club. For special events, check out P.V.O x Culture Curations.

Find time to relax, kick back and unwind at Bojo Beach. Last but not least, spend time in the spirit by visiting the church, ICGC Christ Temple.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to thank God for my assignment. I would like to shout out my family, friends and church who have been on this journey with me physically, spiritually and emotionally. A very special shout-out to my fiancé Brown Bonsu. Thank you for championing me on and loving me in a way that only you can.
