We had the good fortune of connecting with Tanya Delgadillo and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Tanya, how do you define success?
To me, success is having a successor. I feel that some people think they are not on the right path because they aren’t doing, or weren’t able to do, everything exactly as they wanted. We are only here for a short moment, so what really matters is the success of humanity as a whole. We all leave behind a legacy and the most important contribution is to leave the world in a place that is “better” than you found it. Any growth is good growth. Success is inevitable.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Life is never easy, it shouldn’t be. I work a lot so that I can enjoy the fruits of my labor. It’s a hustle and flow mentality. If things are too stagnant, I get depressed because the intention is always growth, prosperity, love. The biggest challenges I’ve had to overcome have been so personal, sometimes they are things I find hard to describe. Currently, I am on a path of growth, I can feel it in my bones. And what I keep reminding myself is to ride the wave and enjoy the flow. If we can’t be present, it’s like we never existed. Thankfully, I’ve always had people who believed in me and supported me, I could’ve ended up as someone totally different. What I would want the world to know about me, my brand and my story is not to expect anything of me. I will always disappoint or surprise. The same way we know a leaf searches for the sun, but we cannot predict it’s path.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I recently moved to Long Beach. If and when my best friends visit me, we spend most of our days indoors. Cooking, talking, listening to music. Other days we may want to take in some nature, go to a garden, see the beach. Other nights, we’d like to mingle in the nightlife, speak to strangers. Thankfully some of my friends are more strategic than I am and they will plan some fun adventures when I am happy just blowing in the wind.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Sooo many people! Most of all, I would like to dedicate this to my parents. I am their successor and they are my heroes.
