We had the good fortune of connecting with Tanya Kormeili MD and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Tanya, do you have any habits that you feel contribute to your effectiveness?
Humility! I always ask others for help or at least try to see how others do things. By being open to others ways of doing things, and their wisdom, I either learn new things to get reassurance that what I am doing is just fine! I never take it for granted that “if it is not broken don’t fix it!” I look for improvement and inquire from other smart people how things can be done better. I learn so much from just about everyone. I also find very good friends as I am also willing to share and help others grow!
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I think not having a business background really helped me! I was never focused on ROI charts, P&L statements or cost even. I focused as a physician on the patient. The happy patients referred more patients and before I knew it, we were a business devoted to caring for others.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to give a strong shoutout to my lovely staff who are smart, committed, ethical and most fun to have around. Together we navigate this world as a team!
