We had the good fortune of connecting with Tiffany Parker and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tiffany, can you share a quote or affirmation with us?
“Follow your bliss and the universe will open doors for you where there were only walls.” – Joseph Campbell Following your bliss to me means having the courage to pursue your passion without letting the fear of failure hold you back. You were born on this planet for a reason and that reason is to uncover your passion and share you gifts with the world. When you have done that, you have found your purpose, and living your purpose is the only way to lead a truly fulfilling life. In addition, you ultimately help others do the same thing by leading by example. I have relied on this quote multiple times in my life to help me face challenges or to keep going even when I felt like giving up. I have always had an unconventional way of making a living and anytime I have taken a job “for the money” or even just a sense of security, I was miserable and ultimately ending up leaving one way or another. On the other side of things, whenever I have been presented with a job that WAS in alignment with my passions and gifts, I naturally flourished – I was sincerely happy while making money and feeling the abundance inside and out. The year 2020 has pulled the rug out from under for a lot of people, myself included. I decided that this year, I wasn’t going to wait for opportunities to be presented to me. I was going to decide what I was going to do for a career that was going to give me the ultimate satisfaction. And to me, that meant something I would love doing even if money had nothing to do with it. I knew that even though there may have been “only walls”, that if I continued to have the inner knowing that the universe would provide, that not only would I be fine, but would feel truly accomplished, taken care of, and oh so happy.

What should our readers know about your business?
My QHHT Practice is called Higher Self Guidance. First of all, QHHT may not be known by many, so let me demystify it for you – Quantum Healing Hypnosis Technique is a kind of alternative therapy that helps the client move into a deep state of relaxation. The word “hypnosis” can tend to alienate some people, so I prefer to call what I do an “Interactive Guided Meditation.” That makes is sound more approachable, yes? Basically, when I have a client come to my office, we will first talk for a little while so I can get to know them and why they have come. I ask my clients to bring a list of questions that they would like to address about their life and would like to ask their Higher Self. Again, I know that the “higher self” can have a particular meaning for some, so I also like to call it your Inner Knowing or Intuition. After we chat, I will have the client lie down and I will lead them in what feels like a guided mediation where we will work on visualizing some things. The reason it’s interactive is because unlike a normal guided mediation, I will be asking questions and when I do so the client will respond with the very first thing that comes to mind. From there we move to the past life regression portion where again, I know it sounds out of this world, but really it’s more simple that it seems. And even if you don’t believe if past lives or you feel like you are making it up, it doesn’t matter because whatever you DO see you are seeing for a reason even if just symbolically. The same thing goes for when we connect with the Higher Self. It isn’t about finding something outside of ourselves for answers, it’s about quieting the mind enough to go inward. I am not some magical healer, I am simply a vessel to help facilitate individual’s own connection to themselves. I am very passionate about my work and feel very lucky that I was able to start my own practice this year. It of course has had it’s challenges, but I stayed strong in my knowing that this is what I am supposed to be doing. I was struggling on unemployment after getting laid off from a job I was very unhappy at in the beginning of the pandemic. However it was a truly a blessing in disguise as I was dedicated to using my time to become certified in QHHT and start my own practice. I studied at home and did all of my Intern level practice session in a matter of months. I also made sure to make a clear and concise website as well as develop a presence on social media to get the word out. I also have a profile on the official QHHT website so new clients are able to find me on there as well. I knew that I wanted to hit the ground running with my practice as soon as I could and I have been dedicated to growing my business every day and getting the word out in any way I can to anyone who may be interested. I genuinely care about helping people answer their life questions and living fulfilling purpose driven lives. I only facilitate one session a day because I am dedicated to giving my undivided attention to each and every client that comes to me and that means it can take anywhere from 3-6+ hours, depending on the person and what they are going through. Being in Los Angeles, I know there are many people who are curious about this type of thing, and since QHHT can only be done in person, I feel that I offer a wonderful resource for people at an affordable price for this type of practice. I am very proud of what I was able to accomplish this year and finally put my happiness first when it came to a career. The effects have been wonderful and I truly love helping others realize whatever they need to gain clarity in their life, uncover their purpose, or help them find healing in some way.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I love Los Angeles. I was born and raised here (I know, I’m a unicorn) and grew up mostly in Culver City, so there are a lot of unique places I like to take friends when they visit from out of town. The first stop I like to go to is Downtown Culver. There are adorable restaurants like Meet in Paris (a delicious little French place with the best mussels!), or Ugo’s (an Italian cafe with genuine Italian gelato and espresso), but my favorite place to go is the Culver Hotel. It is a historic landmark, at almost 100 years old, where not only can you stay in one of their charming rooms (where the “Munchkins” stayed during the filming of the Wizard of Oz!) but they have a restaurant and bar with delicious cocktails in their old fashioned lobby. They also have old movies projected on the wall and live music almost every night. It is a definite go to for me! The next place I would go would be to Venice Canals. The neighborhoods are beautiful to walk around with what really looks like a little Venice, Italy. It’s so picturesque and peaceful. From there we would go to Abbot Kinney and eat at the Butcher’s Daughter, a trendy little vegetarian place that even meat eaters would love! We would probably go to Salt & Straw after for a little ice cream treat. We’d have to go to a couple of my favorite shops there like Ananda that has cute clothes, gifts, and crystals and things. Next we would have to go Santa Monica and walk around the boardwalk, beach, and the pier. I love taking out-of-towners to the end of Route 66 to get a souvenir. From there we would probably make our way up to Malibu for some Duke’s Mahi Mahi Tacos for Taco Tuesday! They are the BEST tacos. For a fancy meal out we would definitely go to The Inn of the Seventh Rey. It is known as LA’s most romantic restaurant. It’s tucked away in Topanga canyon and is so beautiful with the creek running along side of it as well as all the trees and fairy lights strung about. The food is incredible and they have the most adorable gift shop as well for all of your new-agey needs. Fun fact, my husband and I got married there just this year March, Friday the 13th, 2020! It was indeed a lucky day! Another one of my favorite spots in LA is the Griffith Observatory. There is the cutest little cafe, The Trails Cafe, at the bottom and then I like to hike up to the Observatory and watch one of their shows in the planetarium and check out the exhibits. There’s also a cafe up there if you need a snack. I like to stay for sunset and look out over the whole city as well as have a lovely view of the Hollywood sign. After nightfall you can look through the telescopes up at the night sky which is incredible! I live in the Valley now, so we’d probably end up over here at some point and I would take them to Tujunga in Studio City where there are some more, you guessed it, adorable shops and restaurants. My favorite place to go there is Aroma Cafe which is a house turned into a cafe with seating inside as well as on the patio and backyard garden. The list could go on an on, but these are just a few of my favorite LA things!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would love to give a shout out to the Quantum Healing Hypnosis Academy. During the pandemic, they were able to take what used to be an in-person only course and translate it into an online course that made it possible for me to get all the training I needed to not only finish their Level 1 certification program, but also their Level 2 certification in a very timely manner. Because of this, I have was able to get all of my training hours done and start my own practice. QHHA is a small team of individuals, lead by Julia Cannon, the daughter of Dolores Cannon who developed her own past life regression technique over 40+ years called Quantum Healing Hypnosis Technique (QHHT). QHHT has helped countless people get in touch with their true selves, explore their consciousness, and experience phenomenal healings, emotionally, spiritually, and/or physically if it’s appropriate in a session. Not only were the courses amazing themselves, but having the opportunity to learn from Julia was absolutely incredible. She has really taken it upon herself to pass on the wonderful gift of helping more and more practitioners carry on the legacy that is her mother’s life work. I am honored to be a Level 2 QHHT Practitioner, so thank you so much Julia and everyone at QHHA!
