We had the good fortune of connecting with TK Trinidad & Nesha Blair and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi TK Trinidad & Nesha Blair, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
Our though process behind starting our business was/is, “Just Do It”. There will never be a time when everything will be perfect. So we just pull the trigger and go. We have learned a lot and have met people that were and are very helpful to the business. But we probably wouldn’t have met them if we didn’t start.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
What do you want the world to know about you or your brand and story? Center In Company is dedicated to providing all-natural, vegan skincare and candle products in a variety of textures and sizes that cater to both women and men.
We started Center In Company because we wanted to provide all-natural, vegan products that they used in their respective Caribbean households. Our goal is to provide quality products to those who desire to not only put good stuff in their body, but on their body.
Our experience working for TMZ together and other entertainment entities separately has provided us with the know how to network and present an amazing quality product.

What you are most proud:
What we are most proud of is that we started this business with less than $150 and we have grown it by 250% in less than 2 years.

How did you get to where you are today business-wise. Was it easy?
It defiantly has not been easy. There were a lot of not long nights making products and packaging products. We made a lot of mistakes and it wasn’t easy. But we think the thing that really helped us, is we were willing to listen, learn and be open to feedback.

How did you overcome the challenges?
Never give up, even though it is hard. We live and breathe this business and work will get done , ” By any means necessary.”

What are the lessons you’ve learned along the way.
One of the biggest lessons we learned along the way, is to know your worth. Sometimes, people will try to take advantage of you and if you don’t know you’re worth they will succeed.

What sets you apart from others,
We understand that there are an increasing demands for high-quality, vegan products intended for everyday use. And we aim to provide these products, backed by industry standards, certified by knowable professional with a touch of luxury Caribbean flare.
Once you use our products you your body will thank you. Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
There are so many people. So here it is, in no particular order: Tammy from Superstar Beauty Supply, who gave us valuable advice on branding and how to enter into the wholesale market.
Alexandra Koumoundouros, our book keeper, who helped us complete our business plan and helped to keep our finances in order.
Benjamin Patterson, our photographer who let us use his house as a backdrop and took the most amazing pics that we use pretty much everyday.
Simon Vision Media, who created our media kit video and theme music for the company.
Clarence Foster, one of our advisors who gave us sound business advice every step of the way.
Kazusa Nishii, our social media advisor who helped to streamline all of our social media accounts.

Then everyone who has bought our products and gave us recommendations of how to improve Center In.
