We had the good fortune of connecting with Tracy Griffiths and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tracy, what do you attribute your success to?
The most important factor in my success are a few key principles I have realized along the way: Success is an ‘inside’ job. Everyday I strive to raise my frequency by practicing appreciating what I have and gratitude for the people I get to ‘do’ my life with.  My business thrives as I actively pursue more ways to grow, learn and say “YES!” to opportunities that stretch me. Every two years or so I take a deep dive into some kind of healing arts or yoga teaching training that leads to certification. Putting myself in learning environments that provide structure that holds me accountable to studying and comprehension. This in turn supports my creativity as an instructor and a practitioner. I also realize that I thrive in community and creating projects with colleagues that I can learn from.

What should our readers know about your business?
I assist others to live their best life and have wellness, purpose and abundance. A big part of my business is teaching and certifying bodywork, massage therapists and instructors in the healing arts, specializing in Polarity and CranioSacral Unwinding Therapy.  My brand, Aroma Yoga® is an ever evolving space for people to let go, re-connect and renew. Our school, IPSB at Life Energy Institute offers an eclectic and integrative curriculum of healing arts modalities weaving the use of essential oils and the magic of aromatherapy throughout. I am excited to be part of the solution for these challenging times we are all facing, offering healing arts professionals and lay people alike the resources to thrive and have empowered, embodied wellness solutions. I got here by being consistent and by having a continued willingness to learn and grow. The times that have not been easy for me has mostly to do with technology challenges. Asking for help from experts in their feilds is how I have overcome these challenges. The lesson I have learned is that everyone, no matter how experienced or evolved they are, needs support. When I participate, fully listen and hold space for what is happening in front of me, I am a positive influence in the field.

By following Polarity Principles and helping others ‘digest’ their life experiences, trauma and other challenges that may create obstacles can indeed shed, re-shape and shift us into new ways of being. What I teach and provide in all of my classes I personally practice in my life out of necessity for my well-being.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
My favorite spots are the Santa Monica Mountains and the beach. I would take them to Topanga State Park or Tuna Canyon or to the waterfall in Solstice Canyon in Malibe. We’d go to the Malibu Farm for brunch and boogie boarding/body surfing in Marina del Rey. I’d find a cool presentation at the Griffiths Park Observatory/Planetarium or for a concert at the Hollywood Bowl.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My dear friend and colleague Dawn Marie Yurkovic who encouraged me to develop the Aroma Yoga® program and who always has my back!
