We had the good fortune of connecting with 8&1 Creative and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi 8&1 Creative, what role has risk played in your life or career?
Taking risks has defined our advancement in this industry. We all took risks by moving to LA, by choosing to open a business, by putting ourselves out there. If there isn’t at least a little risk involved in every gig then the product likely isn’t going to make a very big impact on anyone.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
It wasn’t easy to get where we are today. We’ve hustled, budgeted, stressed and scraped to get every gig and to produce our own projects. We’re most proud of the relationships we’ve built on our journey- and that’s ultimately what we’re all about. Building creative, supportive relationships to continue creating and inspiring.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
– Beverly Hills eat at Wally’s have a great glass of wine.
– 3rd street promenade shopping and a meal at MEAT
– SM Pier new owner renivating it should be really nice
– The Grove / Farmers Market
