We had the good fortune of connecting with Vito Glazers and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Vito, what principle do you value most?
Free Speech is the principle I value the most. To paraphrase Voltaire, I may not agree with what you have to say, but I will defend your right to say it.
No society has ever censored itself into prosperity. Free Speech is the driver of challenging conversations that create growth, progress and a better world.
What should our readers know about your business?
My company Glazers Media provides creators and brands the best opportunity to craft and create their story from idea, to book, to film, and then share it with audiences around the world.
What sets Glazers Media apart, is that I personally hand select every project we produce, and must be as passionate about it as the subject, which means we are only producing and sharing the most authentic stories. I also am a strong believer in free speech, and Glazers Media gives the client full control and ownership of how their story is told in print, media and film.
Nothing worth having comes easy, and that has been the case with the growth of Glazers Media from ads to films. Ten years ago when I founded the company, we produced and published ads on the internet. A decade later, we help people and brands connect with their audiences through news and media. The goal has always been to help share my client’s stories on the largest possible platforms to give them the most credibility and authority.
There have been many lessons along the way, but one important lesson is that if you do not tell your story, someone else is going to tell it for you, and it probably will not be the way you would want it told. With the ability to publish content on social media and digital platforms, and organizations like my company Glazers Media guiding you through every step of the way, there has never been a better time to share your story with the world.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I love to eat, work and play in LA. When I was at teenager living in Chicago and dreaming of moving to LA, the first thing that always came to mind was the ocean, so a week long trip would have to start out driving down PCH for a sunset dinner at Nobu in Malibu.
Spend the night at Calamigos Ranch and sharing ribeye steaks, bone marrow and thoughtfully crafted cocktails for lunch at Malibu Farms before heading into the city.
Drive up and make sure to hit the boardwalk in Venice for a taste of nostalgia, and make your way to Bungalow in Santa Monica.
Try to make a friend in the creative business so you can go to the Soho House in West Hollywood, which has my personal favorite cocktails (Picante De La Casa if you’re into tequila drinks, Old Fashioned if you prefer whisky) and sweeping views that encompass everything from DTLA to the Pacific Ocean.
If you’re not a member, you can get almost an equally good view from the Waldorf Astoria’s rooftop.
Some of my favorite destinations in LA, only some of which are re-opening now, are Lowell Farm’s Cafe, The Grove, Rodeo Drive, Hollywood Walk of Fame, and The West Hollywood Edition.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Thank you for this opportunity to recognize and appreciate someone in my life whose efforts, support and mentorship helped me achieve the success in media that has allowed me to not only create a career for myself but to also give creators a platform to authentically tell their story through news, media and film.
I would like to dedicate my shoutout to my friend and mentor, Attorney Jeffery “Dads Rights” Leving from Chicago. Not only did he personally save me from false accusations that could have ruined my life, but he also taught me how to use my platform to spread a positive message and help people in need. I am grateful to support his mission of helping, encouraging and defending the role of fathers in America and around the world.
