We had the good fortune of connecting with WRED and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi WRED, what inspires you?
I am inspired by absolutely everything. Everything is art. I am inspired by creation and color. Everything is art because everything is a creation of some sort. My senses, Sounds, shapes, textures, scents. Nature, fruit, food in general, movies, furniture, clothes, animals. U name it. Emotion, Life, death. Color being the common denominator of all of those things. Even if the “thing” isn’t something I can see, I can still give it color . Every song or sound I hear, I see a color. I associate everything I feel with a color.
Please tell us more about your career. We’d love to hear what sets you apart from others, what you are most proud of or excited about. How did you get to where you are today professionally. Was it easy? If not, how did you overcome the challenges? What are the lessons you’ve learned along the way. What do you want the world to know about you or your brand and story?
One thing I believe that sets me apart from others in music is that although I’m pretty, I’m not afraid to say things that may not come off as attractive lol I don’t care about appealing to men all the time lol not saying others do but …I’m excited about writing for other artists in the future although I’m already actively doing it. Also excited to reach a point where I can help other artists that I think are talented get to the next level . Alot of people only work with people based off of followers etc, I want to change that . I got to this point in my artistry by believing in myself and not allowing anyone to compromise my vision. The biggest lesson I’ve learned along the way was working through self doubt actually gets rid of it. One thing I want the world to know Isn’t really just about me , we are all reflections of one another and once we all realize that, this world will be a much better place.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would probably take her to a lake by my house. Small picnic with wine where we can talk, eat, laugh. As I get older, I value quality time and sharing experiences more than anything else. I’d cook for sure, I love to feed the people I love.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I’d like to dedicate my shout out to my mother and sister for accepting me and allowing me to be who I am unapologetically and free of judgement. Monachopsis is constantly feeling out of place and I never feel that way with them. My nephew is an honorable mention, I know what true love is because of him and I will not fail because I know he is watching me.
