We had the good fortune of connecting with Xitlali LoBasso Flores and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Xitlali, can you tell us more about your background and the role it’s played in shaping who you are today?
Hi I am Xitlali and I am from Bakersfield, CA. My family has been a huge influence on me—always encouraging me to pursue my passion and stay true to myself. That support helped build my confidence and taught me the value of perseverance, which has been essential in an industry that’s both exciting and challenging. I carry those lessons with me every day, whether I’m acting, creating, or connecting with others. My background reminds me that where I come from is a strength, and it’s something I’m proud to reflect in everything I do.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Art has always been a huge part of my life—whether it’s through modeling, acting, or creating content that speaks to people. I was raised around artists, and I love to paint, sing, act, write poetry, crochet, cook and bake, and make origami. For me, it’s not just about the visual; it’s about the emotion behind it. I think what sets me apart is my commitment to being real. I’m not afraid to be vulnerable, to show the ups and downs, and to use my voice to uplift others. My art is rooted in authenticity, self-love, and connecting with people in a meaningful way.

What I’m most proud of is how far I’ve come—not just professionally, but personally. I’ve grown so much in confidence, in knowing my worth, and in finding my purpose. I’m excited about the direction I’m headed, especially as I explore more opportunities in fashion, storytelling, and using my platform to empower others—especially young women like me.

Getting to where I am today wasn’t easy. There were moments of doubt, rejection, and comparison. But I’ve learned that consistency, self-belief, and staying grounded in who you are is everything. I’ve also learned to celebrate small wins, to keep showing up even when it’s hard, and to surround myself with people who genuinely support my growth.

What I want the world to know about me and my brand is that I’m here to inspire, not just to influence. I want my journey to remind others that it’s okay to take your time, to evolve, and to find strength in your story. I’m proud of who I am, where I come from, and everything I’ve overcome—and I hope that shines through in everything I do.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Breakfast: Start at Hope Café in Studio City. It’s cozy, delicious, and plant-based—perfect way to settle in.

Head to your hotel or Airbnb, check in, and then lay poolside with a smoothie in hand. We’re easing in.

Dinner at Au Lac in DTLA—elevated vegan cuisine, dim lighting, total vibe. Order the Olive Cheese Dip and the Curried Rice and Pho.

Night walk by the Santa Monica beach to watch the waves under the stars.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I wouldn’t be where I am today without the love and support of the people closest to me. First and foremost, I want to give a huge shoutout to my mom—she has been my rock through everything. Her strength, guidance, and constant encouragement have shaped me into who I am today. She’s always believed in me, even when I had doubts, and that kind of love is something I’ll never take for granted.

I also want to shout out my sister, Prymrr. Not only is she insanely talented and driven, but she inspires me every single day to go after what I want and to never dim my light. We’ve both been on this journey of self-expression and creativity, and having someone like her by my side makes everything so much more meaningful. She’s not just family—she’s one of my biggest motivators and best friend.

So much of my growth has come from the support system around me, and I’m endlessly grateful for that love.
