We had the good fortune of connecting with Michael Anderson and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Michael, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
Risk taking is a vital component in my life and career. A wise man once said “He who is not courageous enough to take risks will accomplish nothing in life.” – Muhammed Ali My approach on risk taking in my life and career is calculated. I weigh the pros and cons, I council with wiser more experienced people, and also do research. Then last, but not least I trust my gut.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Over the last 4 years of my life I have dedicated my life to my work. I love and enjoy my job as a personal trainer so very much. I launched my first online fitness program and there are more fitness programs to come along with partnerships and sponsorships. I get an enormous amount of joy knowing that I helped someone improve their life. This is what I am here on this earth to do.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
First we go for a workout at Crunch gym Burbank. One of the cleanest gyms I’ve ever trained at and the employees are very kind and helpful. Next stop would be lunch at the Heritage Eatery, great organic food with a Mediterranean flare. For dinner I suggest Raffi’s Place. The best authentic Persian food in Glendale Ca.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Have you ever heard the old saying? “Beside every strong man, there’s and even stronger women” – My Mom My girlfriend has been that strong pilar in my life. A voice of reason, wisdom, guidance, patience, trustworthy, love and never allowed me to give up. I dedicate this shootout Karin Iranpanah.
