The most important lesson my career has taught me is the value of adaptability and continuous learning. Over the past decade, working in gas production operations, I’ve encountered numerous challenges—equipment failures, unexpected system downtimes, and extreme working conditions. Adaptibility is the key to my success, and probably the most important lesson I have learned for the past 30 years running my camps. I am constantly asking myself if what I am doing is working well or not? If it is, can I tweak it and improve. If not, can I determine another better way that may work today, that didn’t work as well yesterday.? Can I adapt and change and find that sweet spot that drives me and my employees and my customers to want to come back for more and be better today or tomorrow than yesterday… Read more>>

It has taught me that while it is great to be busy, work life balance is the most important thing. I believe that there is so many of us that love to work and feel the need to express ourselves. However, we have to always remember what is important, which is our own health and peace. I find that while I get older, doing what I love matters so much, but I also love my downtime with my family, along with my own time for me. I love wellness days for myself, and splurge in my spas, gym time, and my healthy smoothies. I have also learned to rest before busy weeks ahead. I no longer look forward to burning the midnight oil. The biggest lesson I’ve learned as an artist is to endure. Making art isn’t easy, and it’s an emotional rollercoaster. You never know if your work is good enough, and the successes don’t arrive on a schedule. But over time, I’ve realized that endurance isn’t just about persistence—it’s about trusting the process.
