We are so inspired by the businesses in our community because of how many of them are committed to helping to make the world better than it is today. Check out some great businesses below and how they are helping others.

Dr. Diane Strachowski | Licensed Psychologist

As a licensed psychologist, I can only touch the lives of my private practice individuals and couples. I love making a difference in helping people with their mental health and relationships. But I wanted to reach a larger audience and help educate people who maybe never go to therapy or those who need a little help. The older I get I realize that, at the end of the day, relationships are what matter most. I created my Instagram page @backtolovedoc to be a place to reach my target audience. Singles looking to find love or couples hoping to deepen their relationship. Read more>>

Dr. Byron Patterson, M.D. | Physician & CEO of Primary Care Sports Medicine

I founded Primary Care Sports Medicine to be different from typical sports medicine clinics in the manner in which we ingratiate ourselves as members of the community. For me, seeing that vision realized each day is truly a blessing. Living in the entertainment and sports capital of the world, I understand how valuable sports are as a prideful cornerstone of our culture. Our leisure time is often spent in pursuit of our own personal buzzer-beating championship moments to escape the day-to-day hustle of our nine-to-fives. Sometimes, we go beyond our physical limits to the point of injury. Read more>>

Jim Greenbaum | Humanitarian, Philanthropist, Vegan

My motto: “Being a bystander to suffering is not an option.” I entered the business world with the intention of making money to later use to make the world a better place. 23 years ago at age 40, I began my foray into becoming a full time philanthropist. For 12 years, I focused primarily on human rights issues such as combating human trafficking, child marriage, gender based violence and female genital cutting. Then, after becoming vegan 12 years ago, I soon came to learn that were the world to adopt plant based diets, around 70% of the major global problems would be significantly ameliorated and governments would then have trillions of dollars available to address other issues. Francine Ayala | Business & Success Mindset Coach/Founder of WEWLA

My business was created out of depression. I wanted to create a space for women to connect and feel inspired. In return, this allowed me to pull myself together and create a platform to empower women in Los Angeles and now all around the world. This is how WEWLA (Women Empowering Women Los Angeles) was formed. We then began hosting women empowerment summits and conferences so that we could reach women on a larger scale. Our mission then grew to establish a nonprofit to expand even bigger into other states and go global. We are currently working with several women in Latin America to bring these events there and we are beyond grateful for the impact that our events are bringing to women all over the world. Rosalina Felipe | Podcast Host & Advocate For Young Women’s Health

I created the podcast with my co-host Shauna to provide a sense of community for young women under 40 who have or are currently going through breast cancer. We want to create a supportive community so young women do not feel alone in their journey with breast cancer. The other side of this is that we want to bring awareness that breast cancer doesn’t discriminate against age, and this disease can happen to anyone, even with no family history. Read more>>
