Meet Chasity Enticing: Artist Manager, Co-Founder and Entrepreneur

We had the good fortune of connecting with Chasity Enticing and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Chasity, is there a quote or affirmation that’s meaningful to you?
My favorite quote is “Be yourself, everyone else is taken” by Oscar Wilde. To me, this quote reminds us to be individuals. We are made to be unique and different. Be ourselves. Be AWTHENIK. This applies to not only what makes us special but also to the light we shine in others. We were made exactly as we are for a reason, because by being ourselves, we can accomplish the unknown. We have all the tools to do so and learn new ones along the way, but if we are trying to be like someone else we miss out on the experience of really living vs just being alive.

What should our readers know about your business?
IAM AWTHENIK is an Artist Management and Artist Consulting company that’s owned and operated in Los Angeles, CA. We serve the United States and various markets internationally. What separates us from others is our ability to not only scout good talent but also find the hidden gems within musicians and entertainers that they can utilize in music, TV and film and commercial expansion. We believe in the rights of the artist and help them understand the essence of the entertainment industry based upon what type of success they are looking for.

Getting to this point in the business wasn’t easy. I had to fight for space in rooms that didn’t welcome people who looked like me and simultaneously create avenues for others to make a way for themselves and their careers, as well. I was able to overcome the difficulties by creating a network of hard-working, driven individuals; it was important to work with their strengths and for me to also learn what challenged them so we could support each other in professional growth. I learned that not every one finds their own path and that I cannot make anyone see their own value, they have to want it for themselves and then as a team we can help each other improve.

I would want the world to know that anything is possible! Don’t get held up if you miss a deadline, still submit. Don’t tell yourself you can’t do it because it didn’t turn out the way you’d hoped, it may turn out better. It starts with you believing in who you are, seeing yourself achieving each goal and then next thing you know you’re living it. Trust in yourself, know what you don’t want and strive for everything else. Be Awthenik!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Oh! Now we’re talking! After picking her up, I would get her checked into her beachfront or beachview room. Santa Monica, Malibu, Rancho Palos Verdes are all great water-based cities. It really gives the L.A. experience when you want to stand on your balcony at night and listen to the waves. Then after dropping off her bags, we would take a hike up Runyon Canyon for her to see the city from above, see the Hollywood Sign and get her blood moving after the flight. We would then reward ourselves with a rooftop brunch with a view of Downtown LA (and mimosas!), We would make sure to visit Rodeo Drive and Westfield for some retail therapy, and eat lunch and dinner throughout the week at places like Bossa Nova, Maestros, King Taco and Vurger. We would have to make a stop by Universal Studios and Disneyland and make sure before she leaves we top it off with a spa day and massage before she returns home.

I am honored to SHOUTOUT the amazing individual that keeps me going, Candace Wakefield. Candace is an extremely integral part of my journey.
