We had the good fortune of connecting with Kamathe Daniel and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Kamathe, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
Risks are what we are generally taught to avoid. Some risks are deliberately taken, and some are reluctantly. However, the lessons that I’ve learned from the outcomes of the risks I’ve taken have made me a tougher person. I believe that risks exercise our inner courage to resist against fear of the unknown.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I started out by making short aerial videos in my free time. People started to notice, and I eventually started freelancing my services. My main challenge was lacking confidence in what I produced. I overcame that by being a student of the craft, learning bit by bit.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My friends and family have encouraged me to get serious at what started out as simple a hobby. My cousin Gyasi especially. Shoutout to my friends Bertram Knight, Taurai Augustin, and Allin Fevrier, who were immersed in the field before me, and made sure that I was set on a path of improvement.
