Meet Crystal Bauer Feldman | Publicist/Brand Architect

We had the good fortune of connecting with Crystal Bauer Feldman and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Crystal, how does your business help the community?
Outside of medicine and getting high, not many people think about the deep impact cannabis plants have, and it’s deep rooted-ancient relationship with the human race. I believe it is the most sustainable natural resource, and when used effectively, can simultaneously house you, heal you, feed you, clothe you, and transcend you. The plant is even considered a Holy sacrament in many cultures because of these abundant gifts.
Did you know?
•Hemp can remove radiation from the soil if planted in irradiated areas? The roots absorb the toxicity, and the plant breaks the substance down, Leaving its core fibers viable for industrial hempcrete and other industrial purposes. Is currently being planted at the Chernobyl site, and has been removing radiation at more effectively than any other method.
•Why it became illegal:
In 1942 Henry Ford premiered the worlds first all Hemp automobile. Everything from the fiberglass, to the body of the car, to the rubber on the tires was created from hemp. Mind you, it smelled like formaldehyde, but it was in its early stages. Hemp was America’s largest cash crop for centuries. So why was is banned? Because billionaire interests in commodities like Steel, Cotton, Lumber, and Aluminum, were booming during the industrial revolution, and these commodities were more invasive & expensive to harvest from the earth, and therefore yielded larger profits.
•Deforestation and the global climate crisis:
The United States government predicted in 1916, that the US paper supply would be made solely from hemp by 1940. It takes 4 acres of deforested trees, to produce what 1.4 acres of hemp could yield in paper products. Hemp crops yield three times per year, and can replace everything from toilet paper to paper towels to diapers, canvases, to just about anything else you can think of that we currently utilize in our daily lives. Trees take decades to become harvestable again.
•Social Justice:
The United States government incarcerates approximately 1.4 million people per year, arresting more citizens than any other country in the world. Roughly 50% of the crimes committed leading to this population are cannabis law violation crimes. An average of 64% of those arrested for Cannabis law violation crimes are Minorities. This is lead to conclusive evidence that the war on drugs has affected minority populations far worse than any other sector of society. This causing family members to be incarcerated, shame and guilt, as well as generational trauma to be passed down and reincarnated. it is time to break the cycle of legalize slavery that we have been unknowingly supporting our entire lives.
Cannabis and hemp have a variety of uses ranging from cancer treatments, general medicine, industrial products, food sources, and could completely wipe out the need for petroleum, and other harmful hydrocarbon-based chemicals that we currently using. The conversion of nonrenewable fossil fuels and resources, to sustainable hemp-based products, could most definitely help undo some of the damage done to our planet, and slow down climate change within 20 years or less. A few more examples include:
–
Animal feed
BioEnergy
BioFuels
Hemp Textiles
Hemp Steel
Hemp Kenaf for cleaning up industrial oil spills.
HempCrete
Hemp Plastics
Medicine
Normalizing this plant, and supporting this industry, while educating and changing the perceptions of the public, is the social impact of Arcane Revelry. They have a saying in Israel that refers to the plant: “Tikun Olam” – which means to heal the world.
What should our readers know about your business?
Arcane Revelry is is more than just events and experiential marketing. We have launched some of the biggest brands, and worked with celebrities from Bone Thugs-n-Harmony, Mack 10, Julian Marley, Mike Tyson, Hebru Brantley, Al Harrington, Snoop Dogg…and many more. We aim to reach larger mainstream audiences by using 360 degree marketing and PR strategies. Arcane Revelry has been featured in global press from the London News Journal, The Guardian, Forbes Magazine and more. As a woman working iin a federally illegal industry, I consider that a great honor and accomplishment.
I just followed my heart. Arcane Revelry was born from my dedication to the Divine and healing works. Everything that Arcane Revelry has engaged in, aims to make a deep impact on society, leveling out the playing field to counter the harmful effects of the “War on Drugs.” A combination of divine intervention, and perfect timing into a burgeoning new industry, created fertile ground for Arcane Revelry’s success in business.
It most definitely was not easy, but the biggest lesson I learned along the way is that no one is going to work harder for what you want than you. There will be many people who will speak out against you, try to bring you down, copy your ideas, and anything else you could possibky think of. You can never allow this to let you falter, and take your eye off the prize. Don’t waste your energy on those who don’t support you, or engage in taking their negativity personally. This may mean that you only have a few people in your inner circle, but as you become more successful, your inner circle naturally shrinks anyway.
What I want the world to know about my brand and story? that it is filled with equal parts success and failure. Nothing is just black-and-white. Remove your expectations and judgments, experience an event, read an article I’ve written about cannabis education, and understand my intentions to heal.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Gah…thats tough. However my “go to” spots are usually Mrs. Fish, in DTLA created by Top Chef winner Alex Reznick, Leo’s Taco Truck, Kreation Juicery, and Roscoes Fried Chicken for late night.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would like to dedicate this shoutout to anyone whose life has been affected negatively by The War on Drugs. For decades, this healing plant has been widely criminalized, depleting our Endocannabinoid Systems, and wreaking havoc on families and society in general. Give thanks, Redemption is here.
I would also like to send a special thank you to the original partners of Arcane Revelry; Chris, Matt, Ben, & Diana. As well, a special Thank You to MIchele and Brian at LA WEEKLY, for all of the support they have given over the years, and all of the generous sponsors who have made these events possible
