We had the good fortune of connecting with Daniela Espinosa and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Daniela, why did you pursue a creative career?
Since I was a child, I have been always interested in art in some shape of form. However, I truly believe that every single person has an artistic aspect of any kind. For me, I always found interesting the visual language and the information that a single image carries within itself. Filmmaking is all about language and communication, not only through dialogue by through sound and image. I find this very fascinating and challenging, having the capability to create an image that can say more than 100 words.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I would say Filmmaking is all about your skills and your capabilities to learn in the spot. Efficacy and practicality. Forget about your school or all the money you have expended in education, because that translates to nothing once you are in set. Of course, the more you know, they easy to understand and move around in a set but ultimately, the experience is what will give you a name. That being said, getting that experience has been a challenge because normally people work with people they already know and trust. However, I truly believe that everyone have an opportunity to make their way through.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Definitely some of the to mostgo: Santa Monica and Venice Beach. Hollywood Boulevard is a good option to kill time and visit some good spots, even taking a tour bus. I love this ramen restaurant near by named Tatsu Ramen, my favorite spot on the area. I also love Ramenhood at Central Market the best vegan Ramen in town. Drinks and party in WeHo although I don’t have an specific spot I like. Finally visiting some famous places like museums, parks and stuff like that. The climbing gym would be my optional place.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I feel the biggest encouragement comes from home. I’m very glad and happy for having a supportive mother, willing to encourage me even though I, myself, have no idea what I am trying to achieve. My mother have always been the voice of motivation in this foggy path. She definitely deserves all the recognition.
