We had the good fortune of connecting with Jimmy Ramirez and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jimmy, how do you think about risk?
Taking a risk or risks is something so important to pushing the boundaries of any form or art or profession. I learned to embrace this as an adult and have finally found a balance that works for me. It allows me to continue creating and ideas to be birthed.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I am the owner of The RecycleGallery. I am an artist that repurposes bottles, antiques, vintage, fine china in to Smoking Apparatuses. Giving these items new life and a new audience. I take every art piece seriously. By trade I am an Aircraft Mechanic with a specialty in Fluids Dynamics, and Quality Assurance. These atributes trickle over to my art process. Every item that has been released is thoroughly engineered and tested for quality. Using the priciples of Fluid dynamics and my quest to be perfect Set my art pieces apart. The RecycleGallery produces a perfect mix of function and beauty.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would start off by going to the beach clean ups (giving back to the community is a must) which ususally happens on sunday. Would have my friend meet all the great people that are apart of this community event. Show them a few great hikes in the Los Angeles area, Miricle tree and Wildwood canyon. So many great things to do out doors this would just be the start.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
This shout out is dedicated to all the people that saw the potential from day 1. To Vasi, my buisness partner who always make sure I dont sell my self short, to all the new friendships that were developed thru the Inspired by cannabis beach clean ups!
