We had the good fortune of connecting with Cezar Mansour and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Cezar, do you have any habits that you feel contribute to your effectiveness?
I’ve learned that my biggest opponent is me and my procrastination! Therefore, having a specific set of habits that I stick to is what I feel has helped me to succeed.

Systems and procedures are what make any great company succeed. Just look at McDonald’s and how the whole place is run by teenagers. They have a system and procedure for everything.

My company name is Beach Lending, Inc. I call my systems and procedures “Bliss” “Beach Lending internal standardized systems”.

I tell my team, please help me to create “Bliss”

It’s these systems and procedures that have been the reason I’ve been in business since 2001.

Every evening, before going to bed, I plan the next day. Then I take the time to visualize every phone call, how the conversation will go, what emails I will write, and so on.

I have been an athlete all my life. So imagine the corporate athlete. One person comes to work at 9 am ready to work after they spent the evening the night before planning and reviewing what they need to do the next day. The other comes in a 9 am to start to plan their day. Which one is gonna win? It’s in the preparation that sets you up for success.

What should our readers know about your business?
My company is called Beach Lending, Inc. and is located in Redondo Beach, CA.

It’s a financing firm that specializes in all types of apartment loans and home loans. In addition, we handle all types of insurance and merchant services. (credit card processing)

I started the company out of my house in 2001 after working for more than 15 years in the automotive industry. As young man, i worked for Toyota Technical Center doing research and development.  I was traveling all over the United States and North America developing and testing future vehicles for them and I really loved it yet.

Once we started having kids, I wanted to be present in my kids’ lives so I made a choice to change my career and open Beach Lending.

Starting my own business was not easy. The first 2 years were the worst. I used up all my 401K money and maxed out all my credit cards to make my dreams come true. No matter how much planning I did, I was not prepared for what was to come.

I knew if I applied what I had learned about life, “being better tomorrow than I am today”, that my business would eventually succed.

I can’t say I know exactly why, yet what I do know , is that when I have applied myself to something I have always been successful.

Today my company has the highest customer satisfaction in the industry. That’s something all the big banks and insurance companies cannot claim.

I also wrote a business book called “The Official Guide to Building a Referral Based Business”. It’s approved as a text book by the Department of Real Estate and there is a continuation credit class that accompanies it.

Honestly, I really feel it’s our systems and procedures that set us apart from others. In addition, my team of amazing people, that work for Beach Lending, are committed to being the best they can be in life as well as in business.

One thing I know that has allowed me to succeed in life and in business, is the ability to be coachable. Growing up my dad was really not around and my single mom sent me to a military high school called Army and Navy Academy in Carlsbad California,

There the coaches, the faculty and the staff, really became my surrogate fathers.

There I was taught that you could always out work and out hussle someone who was better than you. In reality, that person you need to out hustle is yourself.
