We had the good fortune of connecting with Yanique Wiggins and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Yanique, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
My thought process behind starting one of our businesses was to have something our children can hopefully take over one day. This business in particular was created was for our girls.

What should our readers know about your business?
Our business is YaNae & Dynastys Dream Spa. YaNae & Dynastys Dream Spa is a spa experience for girls ages 2 to 14. We have a variety of party packages such as Princess, LOL, Glow Party and more. We also offer individual pampering sessions which can include a mini-manicure, pedicure, makeup, facial and more. Girls love it and the best part about it is we use all natural products! That’s what separates us from the rest, we use non-toxic products that provide a healthy environment for children. I can say one of the things I’m proud of is taking the first step. Most people are so intimidated to take that initial step so they never get to experience or tap into the capability that rests inside them because they may be fearful that they can’t do it! You can’ never have a chance at success if you never take that first step and at least try! I really believe I got where I am today because I was open to what God laid on my heart and I decided to follow and God has brought increase and continues to provide and guide me. God is really how I got where I am today and my trust in what God can do. I can’t say it was easy but I’m grateful I had God and people around me to help and push me. I think I overcame by just setting my mindset not to give up but to keep moving forward and pushing through the challenges. Challenges will always be there you have to just choose to keep going despite of. Lessons I’ve learned is sometimes the only way to grow especially dealing with business is to be consistent and determined. It may not happen overnight but if you continue to show up eventually your business will level up! What I want the world to know about us is that we are here and we will continue to move forward and level up and hopefully our business will be from generation to generation.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Wow this shows how much I don’t go out lol except with the kiddies. I probably would go to a nice brunch spot like turning point or find a local brunch place to try out. I love escape rooms so I probably would want to find a fun escape room to visit. Also we definitely going to church lol that’s where I hang out the most outside of home lol. Maybe shop around a little and then do dinner at somewhere like maggianos.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I have to give a shout out to God first and foremost who laid this on heart, my husband (Desmond Wiggins and my children (Dylan, YaNae, Dynasty and Dream. Also my mother who founded this business with me and works with me. My 3 girls YaNae, Dynasty & Dream are the whole reason this particular business was even thought of and created.
