We had the good fortune of connecting with Andie Art Fitness and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Andie Art Fitness, is your business focused on helping the community? If so, how?
I’m a pre & post natal fitness specialist. I chose this path because I want to help others moms to stay healthy, active and happy during their pregnancy & postpartum. As a mom myself, I know what’s like to go through the most challenging time of our life so I can assure that It’s very important to have physical, emotional and mental support during pregnancy and postpartum.

Exercise during pregnancy benefits both the mother and the baby by helping to manage weight gain, reducing the risk of complications like gestational diabetes and preeclampsia, and improving mood, sleep, and stamina. It can also lead to a shorter, easier labor and faster postpartum recovery. My prenatal program is very specific and safe. I can train women of all stages & fitness levels with care, empathy and patience. I can prepare mommas physically & mentally for birth and postpartum. I can prevent (or address) common pains & injuries.
I can help mommas to fully recover & emerge stronger physically & emotionally. I can be their guide, coach and support person through the most challenging yet exciting time of their life: Parenthood.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I’m a Personal Trainer. Nutrition Coach, Pole Fitness Instructor, Group Fitness Instructor and Pre & Post Natal Fitness Specialist. What sets me apart from others is my passion, empathy and patience. I love teaching, fitness and helping others to become their best self.

I chose to be a pre & post natal fitness specialist after I had my baby, I want to help others moms to stay healthy, active and happy during their pregnancy and postpartum so they can have their best labor experience and come back to their daily tasks and favorite activities as soon as possible. As a mom myself, I know what’s like to go through the most challenging time of our life so I can assure that i’ts very important to have physical, emotional and mental support during pregnancy and postpartum.

In my experience, my pregnancy was not easy. Despite being a personal trainer, my physical activity was very low and I was feeling tired, in pain and down the whole time. I also had a very difficult delivery and I had postpartum depression because I didn’t have the right guidance or support. But today I’m very proud of myself that I was able to overcome all my obstacles and manage to succeed. I’m a full time single mom and I have my own business. I do what I love and I get to spend time with my kid whenever I want. That’s why I studied to specialize in prenatal and postpartum training. I wanted to become someone who inspires others moms to feel stronger, motivated and empowered. I wanted to be that kind of support that I didn’t have at that time. We, mommies, deserve to be seen and taking care of, not only by others but also by ourselves.

One lesson that I learned is that the limits are only in our mind. I’ve never thought I was going to be able to be ME again after having a baby. I was feeling completely different physically and mentally. But I found out that I became someone Better. Stronger. Resilient. Self-Confident. Limitless. Fearless.

My goal is that others moms feel this way too. I want they feel safe and comfortable during pregnancy and beyond. I want them to feel unstoppable and stronger physically & mentally. Giving up is not an option. For me, being a mom is a superpower that we have to awaken.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I will definitly take her to the beach (Santa Monica, Venice, Malibu, Laguna Beach) to spend the whole day there relaxing by the ocean. I would also take her to my favorite hikings trails because we both love the nature and being outdoors. We would also visit the most famous spots in the city like the Hollywood Sign, Griffith park, The Groove, Beverly Hills, Disneyland and Universal Studios. I would take her to some nightclubs at night as well to have some fun and dance like La Descarga in Hollywood.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My parents, my sisters and my best friends. They always supported me and were there for me in the worst and best moments of my life. And most importantly, I am who I am because of my son. He maskes me believe in myself and I am a better person because of him. He deserves the world and I’m going to give him the world no matter what.
