Meet Lauren Kaldjian | Neurologic Physical Therapist and Business Owner

We had the good fortune of connecting with Lauren Kaldjian and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Lauren, how does your business help the community?
My business serves the community by empowering individuals living with complex, chronic neurologic conditions to maintain active, meaningful, and fulfilling lives. Through specialized care, I strive to instill hope, build confidence, and foster a sense of joy, enabling my clients to participate more fully in the activities they value most and remain engaged members of their communities.
I founded my practice with a clear mission: to improve access to specialized neurologic physical therapy and wellness services for individuals who prefer or require care in their homes. Many people living with neurologic conditions face barriers to accessing specialized neurologic physical therapy services, and my practice was designed to bridge that gap by bringing expert, evidence-based care directly to them.
This model allows me to provide highly personalized, research-driven treatment in an environment that is familiar, comfortable, and free from the distractions and demands often associated with traditional therapy settings. By delivering care in the home, I am able to develop a deeper understanding of each client’s unique challenges and goals, resulting in interventions that are both meaningful and directly applicable to their daily lives. Ultimately, my goal is to help clients maximize their independence, enhance their quality of life, and achieve greater confidence in their ability to navigate the world around them.

What should our readers know about your business?
I founded my physical therapy practice to improve access to specialized neurologic physical therapy and wellness services for individuals living with complex or chronic neurologic conditions, particularly those who are unable to leave their homes or who feel more comfortable receiving care in a familiar environment. Living with a chronic neurologic condition can be both isolating and overwhelming, and I am passionate about meeting clients where they are—both physically and emotionally—to help them build confidence, regain independence, and improve their quality of life.
Through evidence-based exercise, movement-focused interventions, and personalized coaching, I strive to empower my clients to achieve meaningful goals and participate more fully in the activities that matter most to them. I firmly believe that regardless of the complexity or severity of a diagnosis, there is always room for hope, growth, and progress. It is a privilege to partner with my clients on their journey and help them recognize the possibilities that remain ahead of them.
As a new business owner without formal training in business management, I have experienced a tremendous amount of professional growth in a relatively short period of time. Perhaps the most important lesson I have learned is that the success of my practice is built on genuine relationships. Whether collaborating with referral sources and colleagues or supporting clients and their families, meaningful connections are at the heart of everything I do. These relationships not only sustain my business but also enable me to provide the highest level of care and support to the community I serve.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If I were planning a week in Los Angeles, I would focus on the outdoor lifestyle, beautiful weather, and exceptional dining that make the city so unique. The itinerary would blend nature, culture, and local food experiences.
The week could begin with a relaxing day at Descanso Gardens, including lunch at The Farmhouse and time to explore the gardens’ scenic walking paths. Another day would be devoted to The Huntington Library, Art Museum, and Botanical Gardens, where visitors can enjoy world-class botanical collections, art, and architecture.
To experience Southern California’s coastline, I would include a day in Malibu, featuring time on the beach and a picnic at Malibu Bluffs Park. For a classic Los Angeles experience, one morning would be spent hiking in Griffith Park, followed by a visit to Griffith Observatory and an afternoon exploring the historic Original Farmers Market.
The itinerary would also include a day at Getty Center, offering stunning architecture, art collections, and panoramic views of the city. No week in Los Angeles would be complete without attending a game featuring the Los Angeles Dodgers and experiencing the energy of Dodger Stadium.
Dining would be an important part of the trip, with reservations at Redbird in Downtown Los Angeles, Osteria La Buca, and Sweet Butter Kitchen, all of which showcase some of my favorite local flavors and the farm-to-table spirit that defines much of the city’s food scene.
If time allowed, I would also recommend a day trip to Santa Barbara, where visitors can enjoy coastal views, walkable streets, and a relaxed atmosphere that complements the Los Angeles experience.
Overall, this week-long itinerary highlights the best of Los Angeles through its outdoor spaces, cultural attractions, local dining, and active lifestyle.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My shoutout is dedicated to NeuroCollaborative! They have provided me with the mentorship, coaching, continuing education, knowledge, and confidence to be the neurologic physical therapist and business owner of my dreams.
