We had the good fortune of connecting with David Murray and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi David, did you self-fund your business or did you have investors fund your business? If you could go back, would you do it differently?
We started Greenspire with our own funds as a partnership.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Greenspire is a clean-tech firm with a simple mission; lower the cost of living in sustainable way. I feel we set ourselves apart from others with our holistic consultative approach to solving problems within the home. We are not biased towards any specific product of offering, but we do analyze what is best for our customer and lead them that direction – sometimes what is best is nothing and we let them know that. I am proud that because of our mission and what sets us apart, its allows us to “do well by doing good”. We got where we are today by helping people. The more we grew, the harder it was to maintain that mentality, but we stayed close to our mission and core values and have been fortunate enough to never let that go. Looking back, there are dozens of people whom worked with us to create and execute this mission that grew outside of the company due to changes along the way and it would have been nice to find ways to communicate better through those evolutions and retain them.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Oh man. That is a hard question. My friends and I all have the same interests so without the Covid-19 virus going on, it would look something like this…We would be playing golf daily (maybe 2 rounds a day) at each of the 5 main clubs within the city each day. We would likely be cycling in the mountains in Malibu, surfing in Manhattan Beach or driving sports-cars around the Angeles Crest Highway. Evenings would be mellow…dinners out and about at some of the favorites such as Mastro'[s Beverly Hills, Peppone in Brentwood, Dan Tana’s, Hotel Bel Air,Felix in Venice or downtown at The California Club.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Shout out to all of our team members, partners, vendors and distributors.
