We had the good fortune of connecting with Lorenzo Cipollo and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Lorenzo, who did you look up to most while growing up? Why?
My hero growing up was Clark Kent on the show Smallville. I would watch this show every week for the duration of its 10 seasons. I know it was a tv show to most but what I took from it taught me valuable life lessons and how I aim to carry myself as a man today. I would watch each episode wide eyed because Clark has the ability to do whatever he wanted but always choose to do the right thing in every situation. I learned valuable lessons in integrity, morals, and staying true to your own principles. I highly recommend the show to anyone.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I’ve been modeling professionally for the last 3 years. How I started out was in Phoenix AZ. I tried out for their Phoenix fashion week and tried out for their runway shows. I was walking in runway shows for about a year before I was discovered. After being discovered I moved to LA to pursue modeling professionally. In beginning I didn’t make any money in the runway shows, photo shoots, or editorials. It was tough because I had to work full time until my modeling career took off. I want people to know to keep working even if you don’t see results from your labors. It will pay off in the end if you don’t give up.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Well if it’s truly my best friend than they know how terrible of tour guide I am. I would take them to Huntington Beach down in Orange County. Huntington Beach is my favorite beach due to it being clean and the downtown area. T Ed In Hollywood I would take them to Runyon Canyon. Then I would take them to Ocean beach in San Diego because every Wednesday they have a farmers marketing with music, live entertainers, and fire spinners. Along the side of the ocean there are great rock climbing, hiking, and even watch a beautiful sunset on the pier.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would like to say my mom has been a big part of my development and helping me through struggling times. No matter the event my mom is just one phone call away. I would always like to bring up my best friend Brandon Kim. We’ve been friends for nearly 8 years. He’s seen me grow from a little kid to the man I am today. He’s always been there supporting me. Along with all of the wild rides. In the last year i started to date my girlfriend Flower. She is the definition of hardworking, smart, and talented. Being with her I’ve seen myself progress in ways I didn’t think I could. She has a been wonderful gift in helping me with my plans and furthering myself as a individual.
