We had the good fortune of connecting with Aaron Kahn and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Aaron, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
I love what I do. I find joy and accomplishment in telling stories. I am continually learning, researching and adapting my interests and knowledge to grow skills. A willingness to try and put the work in. Do your best or don’t take the project on.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
My attitude is what I believe separates my business from others. A no drama attitude we’re here to have fun get the job done and get paid. There’s a fair bit of stress no matter what you do but the way you react is The only thing you can control WHEN THINGS GO NOT AS PLANNED chill out don’t let the wave pull you down. So staying positive moving forward and stay focused. Having like spirited cohorts makes the challenges a blast.
I hope anyone that hires me realizes just as much as they’re picking us we are also picking them. Part of Integrity is also knowing when to say no when that project is not right for you, but as your network grows connecting them with the right person is also a great way to have them call you back when it is the right project.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I guess it depends on the friend but definitely go up to the San Gabriel mountains and do a hike possibly the bridge to nowhere. Then on the way back down stopping and get some Thai food. Possibly a bike ride down to the beach stopping at a few food trucks along the way. Perhaps a few museums and an uber ride to the local brewery.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I know it’s cliche but I do believe that Teamwork Makes the Dream Work I have too many to thank I’d have to say primarily my wife and children. It’s definitely a strong motivation to not just encourage them to go after their passion but to continually show them through my own efforts. My crew, fellow filmmaker colleagues. It’s a carefully orchestrated dance with a bit of chance and the unexpected.
