We had the good fortune of connecting with Adrian Jauregui and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Adrian, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
Mentally I needed a creative outlet for myself. Weird to say that, but I got to a point in life where I was so hard on myself, I needed to find a way to laugh, love, and express my emotions. I’m a huge advocate for mental health and music/ visual arts allowed me to show a community of people with similar interests my imagination.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Music production has always been a passion of mine. It all began at the age of ten in East Los Angeles while attending the Los Angeles Music and Arts school. Originally, I started my career as a percussionist, and I just evolved musically towards learning other skills such as singing, songwriting, and producing. I grew up in a household of musical talents, I would watch my brother DJ and hear my sister sing. My father was also a musician which makes me feel connected that I can continue something that means a lot to me. Fifteen years later, I’ve had the opportunity to work with labels internationally and brands such as The Walt Disney Group, Universal Music Group, and NBC Universal.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Currently, I live in the Bay, a perfect weekend would look like the following:
Friday night would be grabbing dinner in Berkely (Angeline’s Louisiana Kitchen), heading to Oakland for some brews (Mad Oak), and driving into San Francisco to catch a concert at the Midway.
Saturday night- Grab some lunch in the Mission, hang out at Dolores Park and close it out with a rooftop bar at El Techo.
Sunday- Drive down to Monterey Bay, cruise PCH, and hang out by the beach.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Family, Friends, and my Partners ( Audio Engineers, Studios, Visual Artists, Producers, collaborators, publishers, and supporters). Thank you to everyone, YOU are the reason why I’m able to bring my imagination to reality. Shoutout to the community and people that believe in me, These projects are for you to enjoy, smile, and love.
