We had the good fortune of connecting with Alfiya Glow and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Alfiya, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
I believe risk taking is pretty much the essence of being an entrepreneur. I personally owe a lot to risk taking. It showed me the way to my multiple talents I would not have found out otherwise, beautiful connections, and success. If it wasn’t for continuous “not playing it safe” I would probably still be just dreaming and wondering what my career and life could be.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
As an award winning violinist, music producer and DJ I synergies my talents to create sonic compositions that stir the heart and soul in a way only live instrument backed production can.
From stages of Carnegie Hall, Walt Disney Concert Hall, Lincoln Center to festivals and brands as Insomniac events, Electric Forest, Google, Louis Vuitton, Ferrari and private events I continuously create an entire experience for my audience.
I feel what sets me apart from others is that I’m not trying to fit myself into a box of just being one thing, I have multiple talents and I apply them all.
I’m proud of being one of only two percent of female producers in the world. I got to where I am today professionally by working hard, being kind, taking risks, picking myself up even after failing and having fun along the way.
One of the most important lessons I learned along the way is to always stay kind to those around me, my nature is not competitive at all, I believe there is plenty of business and abundance for everyone.
I added “Glow” to my first name as I wanted for people to feel even through my name the light that radiates through my music and performance.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to shout out to my dear parents who live across the ocean, they recognized my love for music at an early age and continuously support me to this day in all my crazy ideas and dreams.
