We had the good fortune of connecting with Ana Vee and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ana, what do you attribute your success to?
The most important factor behind my success is my faith in God. I believe all the success that I have received on my music journey and in life is from him. The challenges I may have faced along the way is him preparing me for what will come ahead or what I may need for the next level. He has blessed me with the talent to be a singer and songwriter, and I continue to seek his guidance on my journey. He also blessed me with an amazing family and team that have contributed to my success. The foundation of love and support I receive from them is unmatched and I know is a blessing that truly comes from the Lord. I would not be where I am today if not for God and for my family/team.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I am a singer-songwriter from Hawaii. I spend my time between the islands and LA doing music. I always loved music but at first was too shy and afraid to really go for it. Late 2018 I decided to get out of my own way and started my music journey when I released my very first single “One Time” and I have continued to release music. I would say what really took my career up to the next level is my third single “Hawaii” that I dropped summer 2019. That song quickly became a local anthem and hit #1 on the Shazam charts for the islands,#1 on the radio countdowns, landed my first TV placement for Magnum PI, and put me on stage to perform and duet my song with the legendary Janet Jackson. In a year my life and music journey changed drastically in a good way. I am grateful that my music has been received so well and I continue to write and make music that inspires and resonates with people. I have just released my latest single “Dream Come True” available on all platforms, and also the music video. You can watch the music video on YouTube and It has just been accepted this month to a film festival. This is the leading single to my self titled ep, ANA VEE, that drops this summer.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If I had family that was visiting I would start the day off with the outdoors.I would either go to Santa Monica pier or Venice to walk around and check out the cool shops. If I wanted to go on a nice chill hike/walk I would take them to franklin canyon park. I feel like that place can be a peaceful walk and you almost feel as if you aren’t in the city anymore. As far as food one of my go to spots is Melody’s Mexican Kitchen in the valley for a carne asada burrito or downtown LA to birdies for an amazing chicken sandwich. I would also have them checkout LACMA and the popular “urban light”. I would end the day off at good times at dave’y Wayne’s which is a fun funky 70s theme bar. The entrance to the place is something to experience.
