We had the good fortune of connecting with ANGEL FACE and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi ANGEL, what’s something about your industry that outsiders are probably unaware of?
The music industry will break your heart…if you allow it. Music is a timeless thing and money hungry people recognize this. I was born an artist and for me that has nothing to do with money. I share my music with the world because I love the process. I love the writing process and the way a song spontaneously unfolds. I love the 10 mins of fame I get when I’m on stage. I love the anxiety and excitement before releasing. My reason for sharing is so that it can bring feeling to someone’s life. So my advice to any one pursuing a career in music, value yourself and your art.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I am on the verge of dropping my first EP, “Infatuations.” This project has been an extraordinary journey, This EP is a revelation to myself as an artist. In reality it is only the kindle to the fire that is about to come. “Infatuations” is a journey of me finding my sound. “Infatuations” consists of 6 songs that took me more than a year to complete. The fact that my songs took me so long to create and perfect frustrated me. I worked with artist who would create a banger in one hour and that was just not the case for me. However I have learned not to become frustrated. I have to believe that I will get better and to not rush the process. I pray and hope that when you dive into ” Infatuations” you feel love and soul. Being infatuated is an intense state of my mind because you loose sense of what’s real. And a lot of times we confuse love with infatuation. I was in deep infatuation for three years. I forgot about my love to music. Therefore this EP is a dedication to myself and the years I lost being blinded by false love. It is a victory to my return.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
One of the main locations I love to go to relax and think is Shoreline Village in Long Bech. They have great bars and restaurants. Theres is a lighthouse I love to go to in the evening. The the view is wonderful. It is great place to take friends or go on a little date.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would have never pursued my music as mush as I have if it weren’t for the following people. Jamie Zu, an outstanding soulful artist whom is also one of my closest friends helped me record my first song.
Antsy, one of the smartest and most talented people, I know has been a huge help in managing my campaigns and producing my songs.
Sandra Medina, my mother, also a natural artist always supporting my every move.
Cynthia Beccera, one of the strongest women I know has helped me own my confidence and has taught how to take my performances to the next level using dance.
Fiya records, has blessed me with studio sessions as they continue to bring out the best in me.
Diane Medina, my talented sister who has always offered an insightful ear to my music and provided useful feedback.
Emeline Talavera, my best friend who has always cheered me on in all my endeavors.
Abel Membreno, a gifted photographer has captured my vision within our elaborate photoshoots.
