We had the good fortune of connecting with Angie Quidim and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Angie, do you have any habits that you feel contribute to your effectiveness?
Celebrate small successes, when in doubt factor how this decision will affect you a year from now 5 years from now, etc. Listen and be aware of your surroundings, Keep an open mind, Do everything with kindness Remember no man is an island and remember that you are where you are with the company you keep.
Lastly success is about balance.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
When I started out in the entertainment industry I had no desire to become a part of it. The only thing that I wanted to do is help someone achieve their dream the things I learned came from the desire to help others. I originally worked for the tech industry as a consultant. One of my friends wanted to break into the film industry and was making some shorts. He needed funds to complete a feature film but couldn’t find any resources. It first started out with a small investment but later on, my curiosity got the best of me. I started learning the ropes being a production assistant on his set and did quite a few jobs to understand what would I was getting involved in. And a desire to learn to help him better I reached out to two different resources locally like Community film groups and local associations. They do that kind of networking I made more friends and learned that my skills in Corporate America could help out the new people I met. I learned about more jobs along the way that were important to the success of a project such as budgeting planning organizing a team with a common goal marketing public relations with the media as well as the General Public. This desire to help people in these areas led me up the chain Into new experiences. Every time more from people who are in different stages in their careers. it’s the best kind of mentorship you can ever ask for. Through this kind of networking, I was able to produce my own projects as well as keep myself educated and the newest techniques and skills required in an ever-changing industry. The big takeaway I have from my journey is always to be grateful for what you have you never know what’ll happen tomorrow. Always inform anything you do with a specific verb that will lead you through the day always remember that you are where you are because of you and The Company You Keep.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I wouldn’t be where I am at now if it weren’t for all the people I met on my journey. I’ve met so many in different phases in life and their career and all of them attribute to my success. Helping them on their road to success inspires me to do more to help others.
