We had the good fortune of connecting with Antonia Roman and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Antonia, what role has risk played in your life or career?
Taking a Risk to me means being responsible, having integrity, driving solidarity and being kind. For many of us, taking a risk can either make us courageous or fearful. For me, it has been about taking on the many opportunities that have come my way and embracing the challenges along the way. So many people have dreams and ambitions however they do not want to take the risk that ultimately enables them to make it a reality in their lives . There is always the “what if” and “no way” mindset that gets you doubting yourself in fulfilling the purpose in your life.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
That’s So Funny Entertainment is a production company I founded a few years ago that brings creative ideas to life. We do both secular and liturgical projects. It started with small steps and today continues to thrive. Even during this 2020 Pandemic season we have stayed consistent in keeping busy with production. It road at times was bumpy however we always overcame the obstacles to stay focused on the task at hand.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Pre-pandemic I would have taken them to the studio so they could see how one of their favorite shows comes to life, gone to one of my favorite Mexican Restaurant, take them to various thrift shops in town and make sure they go to IN and Out to get the burger that is so popular. During Pandemic I would take them to the supermarket and then back home to attend as many zoom sessions as possible to keep us both safe. Every morning we would walk to enjoy the great California weather.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My husband (Who prefers to stay unnamed) has for the last couple of years been very supportive in my career venture. There is also my Pastors back home whom have always been my spiritual leaders and cheerleaders. And there are several other people who have encouraged me to pursue my dreams.
