We had the good fortune of connecting with Aon the Artist and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Aon the Artist, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
The reason I got into the business end of the music industry was because I realized the uneven ratio of musicians to music business people. The ration had to be at least 50:1 in my city of Seattle, which then made me want to make a difference.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I’ve been releasing music for about 2 years now and have
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
When it comes to places to take people to for good food, my go to is Carneys, Pinks Hotdogs, and Crave Cafe. They are spots that not many outsiders know about but are definitely worth it. If wanting to shop, you can’t miss out on Melrose. It’s basically a strip of shops that sell clothes and start trends that you’ll see around the country 5 years later.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I’d like to shoutout all of the people who supported my music career early on. They built my confidence to purse it allowing me to monazite on the business side later on. To many people to name specifically but they know who they are!
