We had the good fortune of connecting with Azi Rasson and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Azi, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
Trusting the ideas that come to me and executing them. That is what a designer does. I come up with ideas that inspires me and I work on bringing the ideas to life.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Good work is never easy. Passion is super important about what you do and believing in what you do is also very important. I believe hard work and truly pouring your energy in any work will always payoff. I worked for Ralph Lauren for many years and love timeless designs and good quality items. I also believe very strongly in keeping my clients happy. When I buy something it’s the experience and the process of buying a brand that makes me go back and I want that great experience for my clients. Customer service and connecting with my clients is on top of my list. I gained tremendous amount of experience working for Mr. Lauren and his amazing team. I got 3 rejection letters from the company before they ended up hiring me. I wanted to be a part of his company and I did not give up.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would take my frined to watch the sunrise and the sunsets in Malibu. I would take her/him to a few amazing book stores in LA. We would visit LA art district. Annenberg museum of photography. Lots of vegan food, BTW my favorite is the butchers daughter. Love my own backyard for some quiet cocktails, music and long heart to heart catching up.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My best frined Ziba Pirnia, She is my biggest cheerleader and mentor. Also all the animal rescue organizations as animals well being is the force behind my drive to design and outreach.
