We had the good fortune of connecting with Bad Girl Liz and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Bad Girl, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I started the Bad Girl brand in 1991. At the time I was stripping my way through college. I worked for Bad Girl in San Diego. In a year’s time, the original owner wanted to sell the agency. There were three other competitors wanting to buy it. I was able to get to the table faster than the other with hot stripper cash. I was the proud owner of Bad Girls. I changed the name to Bad Girl Productions. We were involved with everything in the underground DJ scene, 90’s raves and everything bachelor party. I hired over 30 strippers to work in San Diego booking 40 bachelor parties a month. As result, I paid cash for college. I graduated from UCSD with a degree in sociology with a double minor. It was fun.
After college, the company continued to grow. We expanded in multiple territories. We added in bachelorette party entertainment packages. Technology helped pave the way for rapid growth. We were able to launch in 14 locations, coast to coast and continue with the same Bad Girl brand. We pride ourselves with excellent customer service, hot local Bad Girls and Bad Boys and customized experiences for Bach Party weekend.
Now the company offers party buses, brewery tours, wine tours, yacht parties, pontoon parties, and luxury Bach Party Packages along with top quality Bad Girl Pro entertainment packages. We love bach parties. We love helping plan parties. We love helping our clients find the perfect party package.
What should our readers know about your business?
We have come a long way. We were once a small agency run off a pager back in the 90’s. Now, we are globally recognized as an industry leader in the Bach Party Industry. We hire the best girls and guys in each city to become the next Bad Girl and Bad Boy entertainer. We have a certain criterion that we are looking for. This is not easy to find. Each entertainer must have the Girl-Next-door and Guy-Next-door look. They must be fresh faced, happy, positive, good looking and willing to put the customer first to make the bach party event a success.
Finding the right talent has not been easy. Our industry is still considered adult – even though we hire and provide fun party girls and party guys who are just strippers having fun at parties of 5 or more. The industry attracts the dark side of adult which can be challenging. We have had to turn away escorts, drug addicts, and generally unstable people who are not the high-quality entertainer we are looking to work with.
There are some territories we launched in that we had to close down because the lack of a good talent pool. For instance, we launched in Nashville. We had instant success as there were so many bach parties in Nashville. But we could not find quality entertainers to book on the parties. Our reputation was on the line. Even though we could book profitable bach parties. We could not provide high-quality good-looking talent. So, we pulled out of Nashville in order to focus on territories where we know the girls and guys were hot, reliable and fun.
I know that Bad Girl Phoenix, Bad Girl San Diego and Bad Girl Austin has some of the hottest talent around. We are always looking for new fresh-faced talent to work with to grow with our brand.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
When my best friend comes into San Diego I want to show them the town. We would first get picked up on a big Bad Girl party bus to cruise around town and see the sites. We would head to the Coronado Island get a few cocktails, then head back over to Pacific Beach to get some good eats and listen to good music. The next day it would be time to go out on the yacht and cruise the San Diego Harbor. We would enjoy the sun and fun while out on the water. We would finish up our night inviting over some Bad Boys to entertain us before heading out to Gaslamp Quarter to get our drink on. There are a ton of EDM and Hip Hop Clubs to choose from. This same itinerary is exactly what we plan at Bad Girl Productions
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to thank Crystal for being a rockstar.
