We had the good fortune of connecting with Bre Khounphinith and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Bre, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
Believe it or not. Instagram made me a makeup artist 10 years ago. I was actually a hairstylist. I would post selfies and would always be asked if I was a makeup artist or if I was available for makeup. So I decided to go for it. I was already in the beauty industry, so why not. Within the first year, I had celebrities, award shows and magazines reaching out. I couldn’t believe it because I liked makeup. But never thought about being an artist.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I am a professional makeup artist who lives in Las Vegas, NV. I travel for work and spend quite a bit of time working in Los Angeles. My style of makeup is more natural glam. But more on the natural side. My objective as an artist is to enhance the natural beauty that a women already possess. I am most proud of my longevity. I’m going on year 11 , yet it still feels new and I am always still willing to learn. It definitely hasn’t been an easy task. I have been blessed to come in contact with some amazing people in the industry who have placed me rooms, I could only dream of. From celebrities, to award shows, television shows, etc. I have had my share of trials as well. But I can say I have taken what I’ve learned to make smarter moves as I navigate through this industry. It takes more than talent to stay relevant as artist. Professionalism and consistency is something I take really serious. That’s something I want to always be mentioned when my brand is spoken of.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I’m a total beach bum. So we are definitely going to Huntington Beach. A Lakers game for sure, I’m a huge fan. Shopping would definitely be on the itinerary. We are going straight to Rodeo Drive. I love having drinks on the roof top at the Waldorf. STK for dinner. I’m pretty spontaneous, so the rest of the week would be wherever our heart leads us.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to give credit to my social media followers and supporters. Honestly I don’t think I would have the success, I have had thus far. Without the shout outs, shares, referrals etc.
