We had the good fortune of connecting with Browniesha Blackman and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Browniesha, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
The process behind starting my business is because I wanted to help people. I wanted to be the person I once needed.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
It’s so much I can say. Over the past 4 years I built my business not only as a coach, but I created my own apparel line. I took it a step further and did the same for my children. In 2021 I published 3 books and recently just published my 4th book. All my books made the Amazon International Best Seller list. Also, I recently launched my first coloring book that is geared towards Mental Health Awareness. I have also built a platform for men and women to talk about their struggles with their Mental Health.

Was it easy? Not at all. I had many rough days. I got through with prayer and my support system.

The lesson I learned was to never give up and where you start does not determine where you will finish.

I want the world to know that I didn’t let anything stop. I suffered through many dark moments but I made it out. My brand represents healing and that has a lot to say about WHO I AM TODAY.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Hey, when it comes to finding the best location I am not so great with that. I heard tik tok is the place to find all the best locations. I heard DTLA got some cool spots.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
It’s a group of people who play a big role in my success. It starts with my children, family and many supporters that came from me doing the work that I love to do. I have a tribe that has supported me to the end.
