We had the good fortune of connecting with Chris Arzola and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Chris, how does your business help the community?
The Chris and Jalen Show is a new weekly show that will be discussing mental health, financial literacy and digging deep into the lives of current and past athletes, mental health experts, and entrepreneurs a like.

Our goal is to impact others by interviewing people on our show to discuss different matters such as mental health, financial literacy and digging deeper into matters that happen in the real world. We don’t get taught about financial literacy in school so my cohost Jalen Chatman has made it a personal mission of his to help younger generations learn about financial literacy not only through our show but also through his brand Ju$t Ca$h Clothing.

Overall the goal of the show is to provide a platform for health experts, entrepreneurs, past, future, current athletes to have a platform to come on our show and discuss matters that mean the most to them and also help others learn about mental health, and financial literacy. Most of the topics we discuss don’t always get talked about so we want to make sure the individuals that come on our show have a platform to discuss these topics.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Personally my journey has been a wild one to say the least. I’ve done everything from Yacht Sales, Sports Marketing, Coaching Baseball to now being a host of my own show. But one thing that has allowed me to have all these great opportunities is my work ethic. My work ethic never changes regardless of the situation because I always believe in myself and what I could accomplish. My journey hasn’t been easy but I continue to bet on myself and now I have placed myself around individuals that share the same vision as me and want to be great as well. So, because of that I believe I am now in the best place career wise I have ever been to accomplish my goals and be successful in what I want to do.

The Chris and Jalen Show Is A New Weekly Show That Will Be Discussing Mental Health, Financial Literacy and Digging Deep Into The Lives Of Current And Past Athletes, Mental Health Experts, And Entrepreneurs A Like. Our show is really based on giving a platform to these individuals that come on our show to discuss matters that some people don’t usually like to talk about such as mental health and financial literacy. Both of these topics don’t usually go hand in hand but that’s the thing we don’t want to be traditional because traditional just doesn’t always work in the “real world” now a days. So we stick out because we talk about these topics with high profile individuals but we are also teaching people about these topics. We want to show people that they aren’t alone if they are struggling with mental health issues or if they don’t know anything about financial literacy then we can give them an opportunity to learn more about stocks, real estate or even just becoming financial dependent for themselves. Because of these things I truly believe the Chris and Jalen Show will become a national recognized show in the future.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Because I live in Orange County I’m very lucky to be able to do many things. If I was having someone in town for a week I would be able to show this person many different things. The beach is one of my favorite spots anywhere from Laguna Beach down to San Diego. Also San Diego is a great place to go and enjoy the Mexican food they have to offer. If the beach isn’t your thing then you can always head to Big Bear and explore some amazing hiking areas. Orange County has plenty to offer Disneyland, Knotts Berry Farms these are just a few theme parks we have in the local area. In my city of Fullerton the local eateries are the best in downtown Fullerton such as Hero’s and Stubriks

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to recognize all the people that have supported the Chris and Jalen Show in a short period of time. Our goal is to become a national recognized show that many people want to come on and share their perspectives on things that are happening in the “real world” including taking about mental health and financial literacy. I believe the only way we are going to achieve that is through consistency, the people we bring on and the people that are supporting us. So I want to thank everyone that has supported us this far and for those that aren’t supporting us hopefully they will jump on board and support our efforts in the future.
