We had the good fortune of connecting with Chris Puglisi and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Chris, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
I view risk as necessary for growth. Being comfortable is easy, but it doesn’t push you out of your comfort zone, which is where true growth happens – both personally & professionally. I’ve never been afraid to try new things and make mistakes. I’ve always felt that the best way to grow is through experimentation and practice. Learning from each experiment, and refining my approach to get better and better each time. I think that the idea of “failing” at something is what holds people back from trying new things most of the time, but until you can change your vision of “failure”, and see it more as “experimenting” or “learning”, you’ll be held back from reaching your true potential.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?

Following in the footsteps of a not too distant past, when things were built with pride and made to last. Moto Fabrica was started in 2019 in Santa Barbara, CA. Sometimes called the “American Riviera”, Santa Barbara is home to some of the most beautiful coastline on the West Coast, along with hundreds of miles of incredible mountain, canyon and off-road motorcycle riding. It’s also a short 20 mile drive from one of the oldest flat track racing venues in the country – The Ventura Speedway.

Our products are made for motorcycle riders and culturists alike. Technical and thoughtful application of design and material come together to create high quality products made to last, look, fit and feel good – on and off the bike.

With decades of moto riding, from street racers to flat trackers and cruisers, we’re inspired by the custom builds that are an extension of the riders themselves, and drawn to the revival of vintage moto, flat track racing and the uncompromising craftsmanship that goes in to creating art on two wheels. The individuality and creative expression of riders, builders and culturists from all walks of life coming together to share a common passion.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Los Angeles is filled with great spots to eat, see and hang out but here’s a few of my go-to’s:

Blue Plate Taco
Blind Barber Bar
Gravlax Bar & Tapas

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I’ve had a lot of positive influences throughout my life – teachers, parents, siblings, friends, colleagues, etc. If there’s one person that I could point to as being the most supportive, loving and encouraging through it all has been my wIfe, Natalie. If there’s one thing I’ve learned from building multiple brands and all of the hard work, dedication, commitment and patience that goes into it, having a very supportive and understanding partner is necessary. Not beneficial, but necessary. Natalie has been there for me day in and day out, through it all. Always picking me up when I’m feeling down, or defeated. Always hearing me out and helping me navigate through things when I need it, and always supporting any risks that I need to take Ifrom time to time in order to grow. It’s with her, as a team, that I’m able to turn my passion into a viable business and brand. My daughter Kinley provides inspiration for me every single day too. Crafting a life that allows me to have the flexibility to spend more quality time with her, and my family in general, is enough to motivate me every single day.
