We had the good fortune of connecting with Crystal Heinemann and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Crystal, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I was in corporate aviation for 2 decades prior to me starting my own business. It was a lifestyle in addition to a career. As I was approaching my 40’s, I became quite reflective and realized that I hadn’t had the opportunity to ‘show up’ for anyone in my life. I had missed almost every holiday, every birthday, every wedding and milestone event within my immediate circle. I had been living out of a suitcase and in constant motion for 20 years and I didn’t know how to stop the wheel and actually show up for others but most importantly, myself. For me, my thought process behind starting my own business was creating a new lifestyle for myself. I looked at the outline of what I wanted my ‘new’ life to be. Once I discovered what that looked like along with what I was naturally ‘good’ at, my business model then took on a life and energy of its own. It wasn’t about creating something for money and sustaining myself, I wanted to create something that replenished my soul. I have never been happier and felt so free!
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
If I had heard myself talking about what I do, even 10 years ago, I would’ve thought I was nuts! Ha. I’m a creative and artist in a very atypical way. Instead of ‘pushing’ or ‘chasing’ goals, I try to ‘wait for invitations’ and be in the energy of receiving. This does not come easy for a motivated personality type like myself. It takes much self mastering to not push or chase. What I have learned over the years, is when I push or chase, it almost never works out! When I sit and allow, invitations such as this amazing article land on my lap! My business is working with energy. I read and heal energy. This may be difficult for a lot of people to understand because I’m asking you to trust and believe in the intangible. We are human beings and part of our ‘beingness’ is wanting proof. However, if you can let go and receive, my clients and students report great shifts in their overall well-being. From this, my business has grown to where I now have a successful online program to where I teach metaphysics and psychic development. This is one of my greatest passions! Watching someone grow from the very beginning of the program and transform into the highest version of themselves. It’s truly inspirational to watch! Another growth of my business has been growing into a successful Meditation Guide. My students would always report profound shifts during our class meditations so then naturally I thought, ‘well maybe this is one of my gifts, healing through meditation’ so I created a YouTube Channel for free meditations. I have the most amazing High Vibe Meditation Tribe on YouTube where we can heal as a collective over the lunar cycles. I encourage everyone to tap into their creativity. Even if you are like me, who I never thought I was creative whatsoever, I have learned that creativity comes in all forms. Really what it’s about is creating something, anything and then walking away feeling full. Like I tell my clients and students, if it feels good- do more of that! If it leaves you feeling drained, tired, anxious or icky, then don’t do that! I want people to know that when we lift others up, we ourselves rise too! There is enough of everything to go around. We don’t have to hold tight to receive. Give more and watch it come back 10 fold. I challenge you!
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Since my bulldog and myself are mermaids at heart, we always always direct our itineraries towards the beach! Day One: Land LAX, book a morning session with TSNY on Santa Monica pier to experience what it feels like to be a trapeze artist and soar! Walk in Palisades Park and then walk on over to Jones on Third. Day Two: Malibu of course! Malibu Wine Safari Tour. Finish it up with dog friendly eating, games and drinking at Calamingos Ranch. Day Three: Hit the quiet beaches of Ventura. Paddleboard Channel Islands Harbor for miles and miles of mermaid fun. Finish it out with Cadillac Margaritas and Mexican food at Yolanda’s at Channel Islands Harbor. Day Four: Circle back towards the valley for a hike at Paramount Ranch and lunch in Calabasas to people and celebrity watch. Day Five: Hike Runyan Canyon just because you have to and hit Food Lab after. Day Six: Back to the beach to hit Hermosa Beach and Hennessy’s
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
For every ex boyfriend who treated me poorly and pushed me to go deep within myself and learn that there is more to this life than just our physical, I thank you and I love you! To the Hall of Fame NBA player who sat with me for 20 hours straight on our way back from China, telling me that anything is possible, I thank you and I love you! To my last corporate boss, Stephen J. Cloobeck. If it wasn’t for my very first day working for him when he shared with me the power of YES. He challenged me to say YES to as much as I possibly could. He promised it would change my life. I listened and for the very first time in my adult life, I said YES to me and said YES to soaring.
