We had the good fortune of connecting with Foster Cazz and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Foster, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
This is a question I have been thinking about for a very long time, yet I still haven’t found a complete answer to. Was I born with an artistic mind? Did it come about through how I was raised or how life positioned me? F**k if I know, but I love art; everything from music, to painting, to reliving my childhood through reminiscing on memories of skating/snowboarding and everything in between.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
More about my art? I produce, mix and master a bit, sing, rap, play a little guitar and bass, just learned to DJ somewhat and working on a plethora of other things. I’ve been slowly constructing music that combines Hip-Hop, Indie-Alternative and Electronic music to form an eclectic sound that I drool over, in hopes of setting myself apart from everyone else. All I know is that the stuff I have building will be something ridiculously fantastic.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I usually take my friends camping at a little house show or just show them around California, considering my friends are from Colorado.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I’d love to shoutout my old friend Abhi the Nomad. Abhi taught me most of what I know and I wouldn’t be even close to where I am without him (Mixing, Mastering, Etc.) I would also love to give big up’s to my homie Mikes because he continuously forces me off my ass to get things done, and I love that guy for it.
