We had the good fortune of connecting with Francesca Ellana and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Francesca, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
We started Popfuzion TV as a way to recreate pop culture. Instead of sharing gossip news, the idea was to fuse entertainment and positive news. We recognize, cultivate and honor celebrities, charitable organizations and leaders who are making a lasting, positive change in the world.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Right now during this pandemic we have seen an abundant amount of people utilizing technology to express their artistic talents. Within that field, I am extremely proud that Popfuzion TV was able to do the same by transforming our show to a digital show utilizing Instagram live and other platforms to continue interviewing guests who are making an impact. Some of the incredible guests we have had the opportunity to interview during quarantine have been Jermaine Dupri (who shared with our viewers how to make valuable health changes through his partnership with The Beet) , Meagan Good (who spoke about The Greater Good Foundation which enhances the quality of life for young women), Holly Robinson Peete (who spoke about her foundation, HollyRod that provides support for people with autism) and many more.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
My favorite spot in Pasadena, California is The Rose Bowl. It provides a 3-mile walking track where family and friends can join together for a nice brisk workout while enjoying beautiful scenery. The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would like to take a moment to honor my mother Sara Marcus. Her role as an executive producer at Popfuzion TV alongside being my mother, was something that I will never take for granted.
