We had the good fortune of connecting with Frankie Vegas and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Frankie, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
My main thought process behind starting Who’s Frankie was the burning question we all face throughout our lives. Who am I? We search and learn more about ourselves but still, each day find something new. Who’s Frankie caters to that question in a deeper way. It doesn’t matter where you come from, how your upbringing was, or what you look like. It represents us at our purest forms once this flesh is stripped away. Who’s Frankie represents who we are at our core. We are all souls, we are all the same. Being of Native American and Italian background, spirituality has always been at the center of my being. I have always known my path was to help bring healing into this world and this is the best way for me to extend my energy to you all. Everything my brand represents is who I truly am. I wanted to create a spiritual safe space where anyone can find the tools they need to help heal themselves. Every product is either created and/or curated by me with the highest vibrations possible. Sustainable, ethical, authentic, and respective of every community it derives from. I believe healing is something that should be shared with as many as possible and we are blessed to have so many avenues to do so. I am merely a conduit, a helping hand in your own spiritual journey.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Who’s Frankie launched officially January 1st, 2021 just in time to set the right intentions and positive energy for the new year! A spiritual wellness brand that represents who we are at our core, we are all souls we are all the same. You can find anything you may need to assist you on your journey to healing yourself, such as Crystals, Song bowls, Incense, Energetically charged bath salts, Authentically & Ethically harvested Lavender Sage bundles from the indigenous community with prayer and earth offerings, Authentic & sustainable Palo Santo, and much more to come. I am most excited right now about our new Who’s Frankie Single Soak bath salts! There are 4 distinct blends handmade by me with Epsom salts, essential oils, fresh dried herbs and sacred healing energy. They are all so incredible for different reasons. The 4 blends are: Turmeric Rose, Lemon Sage, Eucalyptus Orange, & Lavender Frankincense. You can see more about them on our website at WhosFrankie.com How I got to where I am today was far from easy. My life was a bit of an uphill battle but throughout it all I learned that strength and perseverance is key to achieving anything you want. Along with manifestation, I believe anything is possible. Usually when I have a vision that is bigger than myself, I always try to start small, one step at a time and then eventually you will see the bigger picture start to form in front of you. It’s actually quite incredible and satisfying to see your dreams coming true. The universe makes so mistakes and that is why it is so crucial to be very specific when manifesting your own reality. The more specific the better. I want the world to know that Who’s Frankie is a brand for us all. A space you can feel confident in knowing everything is specifically created or curated for the highest healing, for the greatest good. I feel like you can tell the difference when it’s sincere.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
That’s a great question! Well first we’d start off with breakfast at either Blue Jam cafe (their crunchy French toast is one to be rivaled with), Dupars, (classic diner and best pancakes in LA, in my opinion) or an incredibly dreamy brunch buffet at Castaways. One of the best brunch buffets in all of LA. We’d then grab a coffee from Verve, and head down PCH from Santa Monica to Malibu and end up at the Temple of Self-Realization in the heart of the palisades. A beautifully scenic meditative space and garden. Then for lunch I’d give them the option of some of my most favorite places in LA. Either Urrth Café, Planca Tacos (some of the best carne asada tacos in LA hands down!) so simple but the quality is NEXT LEVEL, Joans on 3rd, SQIRL (tomato jam sandwich – ADD BACON, and thank me later) lol, or Larchmont Wine and Cheese sandwiches (drool worthy). Then I’d make my way to see my puppies Llama and Lumi because I mean who doesn’t love dogs, and my family. Then for dinner I’d take them to either Ruth Chris for a good steak, Korean BBQ, Catch LA(for drinks and atmosphere), Berri’s Cafe (Lobster pizza out of this world), (so many options) or make them something homemade. I’m usually very low key and don’t really drink so it would mostly be for their leisure lol. The next few days would be followed with nature hikes, museums (The Broad, Getty, Dreamspace, Illusions) so many good ones, good food and adventures and a trip to my sacred space at least once. And that is Greystone Manor (Mansion). Something about the energy there is so powerful and peaceful to me it’s truly a gem in the heart of the city. Followed by amazing tea and live music at one of my favorite eclectic places Republic of Pie. Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Everyone who has played any part in my life is special to me because it made me who I am at this very moment. Even the bad times I don’t regret because it helped me see a part of myself that maybe would have been dormant. I thank all of my supporters and those who send me positive energy. Most of all a huge shoutout to my family and friends. Thank you for your guidance, love, generosity, loyalty, open mindedness, and overall kind souls. Especially my mom and dad. They taught be everything that is truly important and gave me a good head on my shoulders. I feel very lucky.
