We had the good fortune of connecting with Gloria Flores and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Gloria, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
The most important factor behind my success are the results that my clients experience from a healing session with me. When my clients are happy with their results they return over and over. They recommend me to their family members, friends, and work colleagues. I am compassionate, caring, and results-oriented. I truly care about helping people so I make sure that each client is happy with their results.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I am a Craniosacral Therapist and professional Energy Healer. I also teach and mentor Craniosacral Therapists and Energy Healers. It was a long journey to get to where I am professionally. It took me almost 20 years of training and building my skills by being a volunteer therapist, working with private clients, and empowering my clients and students by teaching them that we all possess the ability to help others. At times it was difficult to reach the professional goals that I set for myself. With persistence and learning not to take rejection personally, I finally reached those goals. I realize now that we reach our goals not when we want them, but when we’re ready for them. I am an Upledger Institute diplomate certified Practitioner, Workshop Presenter, Mentor, and Certification Examiner. I am the author of numerous published articles on alternative healing. The long road to reaching those goals allowed me to learn life lessons that I am now able to use in my personal life. So I would say my professional journey has made me a wiser, happier person.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I am a nature lover so my favorite places to visit are the local beaches, beautiful mountains, and lakes we have in Southern California. I love visiting Santa Barbara and having brunch on the patio of El Encanto restaurant, while watching the sailboats on the ocean below. Winter or summer I enjoy Lake Arrowhead and staying at the Lake Arrowhead Resort and Spa. The restaurant has gourmet breakfasts and dinners as well as a beautiful view of the lake and mountains.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I am grateful for my teachers, mentors, and colleagues at the Upledger Institute. Because of them I learned about the life work and journey of Dr. John Upledger, D.O. and how to integrate his life’s work and research into my healing practice. I am equally grateful for my teacher Gary Strauss, RPP for teaching me how to implement professional courtesy and compassion into my work.
