We had the good fortune of connecting with Jasen Smith and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jasen, how has your work-life balance changed over time?
Great question, I’d like to first thank you and you’re team for allowing me to take part of this discussion. Im not sure one ever has complete balance especially an entrepreneur. There is only so much time in a day so if you focus on one thing rather Family, designing or networking one of the other takes a back seat. I believe finding the time in a allowed day is the key. As we get older ones focus changes from clubs to kids late nights to earlier mornings, its about prioritizing whats important setting goals and executing.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I own and curate the brand Champagne championz. A brand who believes everyone should toast too their accomplishments. I also juggle a 9 to 5 as a Millwright which is a specialized mechanic, these two professions pull me in different directions but keep me on my toes.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Starts in leimert park great ,food coffee, tea, hit up skate shop book store. Definitely hit up solefolks. For the mid day hit the beach and end the day off at a nice dinner depending on guest taste.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
First I couldn’t do anything with out the higher power. Second my wife and kids who allow me to have the freedom to be creative, really all those who play role in my life are my driving force family, friends, down to the mailman who’s 80s style socks inspired a look, it is all about finding those inspiration that un lock a spark.
