We had the good fortune of connecting with Jasper Hsieh and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jasper, what is the most important factor behind your success?
The most important factor behind the success of Bilo Events has been, without a doubt, our team culture. We’re not just a group of talented individuals. We are a family.

Every member of our team genuinely cares for one another and is invested in each other’s growth and success, both personally and professionally. That energy carries over into every event we’re part of.

When you have a team that supports each other the way we do, it creates a fun vibe and positive energy. Our clients feel that energy and it’s what sets us apart.

We believe that great events come from great collaboration, and the strong foundation we’ve built internally has allowed us to consistently deliver unforgettable experiences for our clients.

At the end of the day, our culture isn’t just a part of our success — it is our success.

What should our readers know about your business?
What truly sets us apart is our people. We’re a tight-knit team of passionate creatives who treat each other like family. Everyone on our team shows each other genuine care and it shows in our work. We go beyond just showing up. We bring energy, intention, and love to every single event.

I’m incredibly proud of the culture we’ve built. Everyone on the team is driven, talented, and committed to excellence. It’s that dynamic that fuels the magic we’re able to create for our clients. There’s nothing like watching a couple get lit and turn up on on the dance floor, with all their friends and family, knowing we helped make that moment happen.

Getting here wasn’t easy. Like most entrepreneurs, I started with a passion and a dream, but there were a lot of moments filled with uncertainty, self-doubt, and trial and error. There were seasons of hustling through back-to-back events, learning how to lead a team. Figuring out how to scale a business while staying true to the vision of keeping a family style company culture was the hardest part, and I am still learning! With that being said, I wouldn’t be here without the love support of Academy of DJs, Luv Language, and the unwavering loyalty of my Bilo team.

One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is that your business will only grow as much as you grow. Investing in my own development, prioritizing strong relationships, and staying aligned with my values has been a major key in the success that I’ve had. I’ve also learned that your reputation is everything in this industry.. how I treat people matters more than anything.

At the end of the day, Bilo Events isn’t just about providing service. it’s about creating moments that people will remember for the rest of their lives. We want the world to know that when you work with us, you’re not just hiring another DJ or vendor. You’re gaining a team that genuinely cares and shows up with everything we’ve got.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
It’s insane how much food and entertainment we have in Southern California. If I had a friend that visited. I wouldn’t know where to start in terms of taking them around. However, I would definitely take them to a few spots that I personally love. Tsuruhashi in Fountain Valley is my favorite Japanese BBQ spot. It’s for lack of better words.. fire.

I would definitely take them to one of our Luv language parties, because it is just so fun to hang out with friends, grab a drink and sing along to throwback R&B. I think the biggest thing is always just the vibe. It can be 10 people or 200 people. It doesn’t matter, as long as the vibes are there.

A late night go to for me, especially after a night of DJing has to be Sun Nong Dan in K-Town, Los Angeles. 24 Hrs and late night soup always hits differently for me. They also havw this giant flaming Galbijim aka braised short rib. That is a must whenever I go there. I always have to show my friends who have never been before. Not only is it delicious, but its quite a show to see them bring out the fire.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
There are a few key communities that have played a major role in my journey as a DJ and business owner, and I’m incredibly grateful for each of them.

First, I want to give a huge shoutout to Academy of DJs. Our community has been a huge role in shaping not just my technical skills as a DJ, but also my mindset, professionalism, and passion for this industry. The mentorship, structure, and support they provide is unlike anything else out there, and it’s created a ripple effect in both my personal & professional growth and the way I run Bilo Events.

I also have to show love to Luv Language, our nightlife group. Luv Language has been a space where I could express myself creatively, have good vibes, and create an environment for aspiring creatives to grow. It’s been a huge source of inspiration and fuel for the work I do in the entertainment space.

And of course, none of this would be possible without the incredible team at Bilo Events. They’re more than coworkers — they’re family. Every win we’ve had has been a collective effort, and I’m constantly inspired by the heart, hustle, and love this team brings to the table every day.
