We had the good fortune of connecting with Jenny Huber and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jenny, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I’ve always been an avid match maker, whether it was friendships or romantic relationships. From an early age, I had a knack for connecting people, “you should meet so and so, you will love them”. Finding the perfect client/household staff fit or finding the perfect vendors for a home improvement project is just as crucial and nuanced. There is a very delicate balance and harmony required when letting someone into your home on a regular basis and I understand that more than most having worked directly for private high-profile families myself. For a successful match, there has to be a chemistry there for both parties. Really listening to what a client needs and fulfilling that need to exact specifications makes me feel like I’ve done my job at the highest level. I love what I do and I have built a team of highly skilled employees around me who have the same mindset. Our unique ability to innately understand the inner workings of private homes, quickly assess a specific household’s needs and implement highly effective methods, protocols and procedures to ensure the seamless running and management of luxury homes and really gives us the greatest joy.
What should our readers know about your business?
Rome wasn’t built in a day, as they say. Starting this company was a culmination of experience, passion, and dedication to helping others. I began Heritage Estate Management (HEM) after over a decade of supporting high net worth families as an Estate Manager as well as working in the domestic staffing agency arena. What I saw during that time was that most domestic staffing agencies didn’t truly understand what it was like to work in these private homes and so had trouble truly understanding their inner workings. In addition, none of these companies paid attention to the other aspects of their client’s needs such as hands on property management, project management, household operations and schedules, and so much more. My aim laid in taking my passion for matchmaking and pairing that with my experience in private homes to help fill a void in the private service industry. As a result, Heritage Estate Management was born with the goal of providing clients with expert consultation and personally curated assistance with all of their estate management needs by marrying vital luxury services together in a one stop shop, extremely hands-on approach to estate management. Making this company a success took several years of dedication and loyalty from my clients and candidates.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I’m from England, so warm weather and sunny days are not something I take for granted! I love the beaches this great city has to offer. Nothing makes me happier than walking along enjoying the sand under my toes and the sounds of the Pacific Ocean crashing against the shore. Some of my favorite beaches that I would definitely share with someone are Paradise Cove in Malibu, Huntington Beach, and the Santa Monica Pier before grabbing happy hour and watching the sunset at The Lobster. Recently with the pandemic, I’ve enjoyed grabbing a to-go picnic pack from Lanea and watching the Sunset from the beach. I would also have to show them one of LA’s great hikes including Bronson canyon, Runyon canyon, Griffith Park, and more. Another favorite is whale watching on the Harbor Breeze Catamaran out of Long Beach. And people (including my kids) always love going to Disneyland or Universal Studios, so that is definitely on the list as well.

I’d like to dedicate my shout outs to a few key people in my life. 1. My Luxury Lifestyle Director, Victoria Langford whose experience and dedication helps make my life easier and it all possible. 2. Our world class vendors, service providers and candidates who make us look good every day. 3. Our wonderful and loyal clients who make my dream a reality. 4. My husband, Mike, who is a master at business operations and gives me unconditional love and support. 5. And my two beautiful daughters who always remind me how to multitask effectively
