We had the good fortune of connecting with Jon Brandi and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jon, how does your business help the community?
We love people! We believe that helping our community is through one person at a time to create lasting change. We help people make positive changes in their health and wellbeing through fitness, nutrition and lifestyle intervention. We thrive on changing lives by creating a ripple effect from one person influencing many. Some examples of this are: -creating a supportive community vibe in our small group program where members interact and encourage one another in their goals and habits. We celebrate wins no matter how small. -coaching our private training members which led to them influencing their families to change to healthier eating habits and increase their activity.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
At Brandi Fitness we offer highly customizable fitness, training & wellness services. We cater to our local community as well as a high profile clientele, both who receive the highest level of level of our care and attention. I believe that there are two things that set us apart and that have contributed to our success.  First, is our holistic approach. Clients usually come to us out of a desire to reach some kind of physical goal–whether that is gaining more muscle or wanting to lose weight. We definitely work to achieve these goals but we also address more than just how many pushups and sit-ups they need to do. We’re going to talk about other areas of wellness, like nutrition, stress, and lifestyle. There is so much that goes into one’s wellness–we would be doing our clients a disservice if we only ever addressed the physical! We see it over and over again–when we address these other untapped areas of wellness, it leads to transformational growth in our clients’ overall happiness, relationships, and even career. Clients come for the six-pack, and stay for the growth in other areas of life (and the six pack too).   Second, is our method to training & coaching. We like to call it “The Brandi Method.” It starts with… (1) identifying the areas to improve, (2) creating a plan, (3) executing, (4) reassessing and repeating these steps over and over again. It is simple, consistent, and it yields results. We try to apply this approach to ALL that we do–from training clients, to running our business, to the way we live our life. We strive for continual improvement (not perfection).

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
One of the things we love about this city is the vast amount of culture and diversity of people and landscape we have all within a few square miles. We love our hikes and ocean time and oh how we love our coffee! Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Yes! When I moved to LA I had a trainer by the name of Mike Axe through his consistency and integrity encouraged me to make changes in my fitness I never thought were possible – it opened so many doors for me by realizing more is possible in my life I just need to apply myself. Thank you Mike! My two friends Dexter and Kristen Bell (master encouragers) who encouraged me to start my own fitness business. Also the love of my wife Cassie for sticking through all the changes to our business and standing by my side, love you babe!
