We had the good fortune of connecting with Jordan Browne and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jordan, can you share the most important lesson you’ve learned over the course of your career?
A lesson my business/career has taught me is that you must be patient when it comes to your craft. I know they say being consistent can go a long way, which is true. But that also doesn’t mean put content out there just to have it out there. Quality over Quantity is a real thing, take your time with your work and that’s when you will produce the work you want people to see.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I make films about life, mental health, inspiration/motivation and travel videos. I’m also a photographer who focuses on portraits, landscapes, street photography and something I’m currently working on surrealism. What sets me apart from the rest is that I create content so people can feel good about themselves. You can watch my videos if your feeling upset, unmotivated, or even just want to feel appreciated. We all have a purpose on earth and mine is definitely to create, inspire and motivate. I’m really excited to see this next chapter in my filmmaking career because I’m not focusing on short films and surrealism art, which not a lot of people my age are doing at this point. It’s going to be a challenge I’m ready for 100%.
I won’t be who I am today if it wasn’t for me understanding the word self-improvement. You must work on yourself and your craft first before anything else, and I believe that’s what made me even more focus. This creative life isn’t easy but if it’s what you’re born to do then it’s worth every heartache.
I’m just a filmmaker that wants to see people happy and living the life they deserve. I don’t just speak to creatives, I speak to anyone who believes they are capable of being whatever they want in life. It’s bigger than just film to me, it’s really a life style.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I’m all about exploring and adventures so we definitely will be sightseeing. I would want to show you the scenery around the area just so you can value the beauty of the world. There’s a bunch of food spots that are really good that I would take them too as well. There’s never a dull moment when it comes to me, I will make the best out of anything.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
There’s a few people I’ve been inspired by but this specific person definitely helped me out a lot, especially in the filmmaking industry. His name is JR Alli, he’s a filmmaker on YouTube who tells stories based on his own life. Watching his videos made me realize that the best way to connect with people is through telling your own stories. Which pretty much all my films are about, me telling my stories and letting the viewers feel connected with them. It gives me a since of relief that other people can relate to a story I tell, and not feel alone in this world anymore.
