We had the good fortune of connecting with Josan Iracheta and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Josan, what do you attribute your success to?
The most important factor behind my success is my perseverance. I never give up, no matter what. No matter how big the obstacle may be, I always find a way. And I’ve been like this since I can remember.

If you want to succeed, you need to have full faith in yourself. Whenever I start a new project, I know I’m going to succeed. And I remind myself of this during the hard times where it feels like everything is going against you and doubt starts creeping in.

When you mess up, don’t dwell on it. Learn from it and move on fast. What’s happened has happened. Move forward and find a solution. Ten out of ten times, you will see that your “mistake” was actually a blessing in disguise.

Keep going and you will find your diamond at the end of the tunnel.

What should our readers know about your business?
I am the founder of JOSAN Coin which is a cryptocurrency token that is available for trading on the decentralized finance platform known as Pancakeswap. We successfully launched the coin on August 31st and by the end of the year, we will launch our very own decentralized exchange called JosanSwap where people from all over the world can trade crypto coins made by other Influencers that will be created by our very own Launchpad.

What sets my crypto coin apart from other projects is that it revolves around me as an influencer and artist. The funny part is that it all started off as a meme. Since meme coins like Doge became so popular in the serious world of finance, I figured I would take advantage of that and create my own crypto coin.

As an artist, I love being in the spotlight. That’s why creating a business that revolves around me and my artistic qualities was a no-brainer.

I’ve had many businesses before and worked many different jobs but all of them had nothing with my passion for music and art. And even though I’m very disciplined and hard-working, the other businesses didn’t seem to have much success. Sure, I didn’t have the experience I do now, but I attribute my success today to combining my passion for music and art with business, along with the years of experience I now have in business.

When you do what you love, you always have the energy and motivation to work non-stop. It sort of just pushes itself.

It wasn’t easy getting to this point, though. I faced so many challenges along the way, ranging from being broke all the time, to learning how to do everything myself, like write software code, and even dealing with heartbreak and personal/family problems. If my life were a movie, you’d see a lot of scenes of crying and screaming haha.

But the thing with me is that I am perseverant. I’m the type of person that never gives up, no matter what. I don’t make excuses. I find solutions. And I am grateful for every challenge that I had to face on my journey because that made me stronger and it equipped me with the right tools and mindset to do what I do today.

It’s hard to say what lessons I have learned along the way because there are so many. But if I had to narrow it down to the most impactful lessons I have learned, they would be the following: do the best with what you have and have faith that everything is working in your favor.

Growing up, I never had money so I always had to bootstrap it and learn how to do everything myself. I used what I had and got started fast. It’s easy to not start because we create these ideas in our head about how things should go and what we need, but that’s all bullshit. The truth is, you don’t know what’s going to happen and all of your ideas don’t mean anything until they have been tested in the real world. So I encourage everyone to implement their ideas now and use what they have. You will find that whatever you came up with in your mind will be completely different than what you actually create in the real world.

When you face an obstacle or you make a “mistake”, roll with it and do the best you can with that situation. These obstacles and “mistakes” often always turn out to be blessings in disguise. That’s why you must keep going at all costs. Have faith and remind yourself that everything is working in your favor. You’re just going through the journey.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I’m a great host. When my friends or family show up, I like to take them to places they like. For example, I don’t go to clubs but when my baby cousin comes into town, I’ll go to the club with her because she loves that.

But when it comes to food, I take charge because as an LA-native, I know where all of the best food spots are at. Period.

I’m a very chill person so a typical night-out for me would be dinner followed by hookah. Lately, I’ve been going to Korean BBQ so if my cousin or friend were to come down for the weekend, we’d go to Korean BBQ first, followed by hookah.

And then on the weekend, we can change it up. Of course we always have to have dinner first and then we can go to a club or bar, depending on the mood that night.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to give a shoutout to the LGBTQ+ community for showing me the true power of pride. Their sense of pride has inspired me to accept myself as I am and that has helped me in my most recent endeavors.

It’s easy to get caught up in other people’s expectations of you, not to mention society’s expectations, and feel shame for yourself or your actions.

But if you can be proud of who you are, and live unapologetically, you can do great things in life.
