We had the good fortune of connecting with Justin Johnson and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Justin, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
Authenticity, working with authentic people, not to sound “corny” but, everything is organic. The ones who really watch and pay attention to anything Campaign Studios related they know for a fact that it was some work put into the content, that we actually love what we do. I’m lacking with the clothes and graphic design but everything is original, everything comes from a sincere place.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
It was a ride but, it wasn’t easy, I make it work cause I stay true to myself and I keep the work first. I don’t want to compromise the integrity of the product. I want to let the work show around the world, a flawless look at our people, sell the rebuild of self and not trauma.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
My favorite spots in the city….
Ramonas (the one by El Camino College)
Gotta hop out of your car and walk thru DTLA too!
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
A few folks, off the top of my head, I could dedicate this to Deazy (Play Maker Denzel) he help keep the battery charged in terms of filmmaking and content production. Love Miller, we both put our heads together in clothes manufacturing and then divide and conquer, he has his own rising clothing company coming out of South Central Los Angeles/The Harbor Freeway Area. Durell Todd, another brother where we come together and put together some remarkable shit. My girlfriend, Cheyenne , a singer/songwriter who also sells bathing suits, always has words of encouragement for me. Honorable mentions would be Mom & Pop, my dad still engulfed in Television and Film Production stay putting me on to stuff I have yet to know sometimes, my momma there unconditionally like a normal mom! Last but not least Perry Adams & Amir Abassay!
